Growler. Light lactic corn and barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Lightly sweet barley malt and moderately bitter grassy hops flavor. Not bad - better than Molson.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of queenholly. Thanks! Yay, finally a Flat 12 beer that’s not a gusher! Pours a hazy orange color with a large frothy head. Good head retention. Aroma of big citrus hops with a bit of pine. The taste is big citrus, pine, resin hops. Pale malts. Hop agressive, refreshing, fairly fresh. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. Nice beer.

Found this at RBWG, which is good for the brewery as the bottle I tried was terrible. This one was a growler. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, nuts, chocolate, mild hops. Taste is roasted malts, chocolate, nuts, mild hops. Medium bodied. 8/3/8/3/16.

Previous rating (6/2/5/3/8)... 12 ounce bottle from a trade. Pours a.... OK now half the beer’s on the floor and I have a glass full of foam. The worst gusher I’ve seen in quite some time, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be good. Just ask De Dolle. I’m going to let this one sit for a while.

OK... just poured the rest of the bottle down the drain because I got sick of dealing with it. Got maybe about 4 ounces in the glass. Aroma of chocolate, mild herbal notes and an ashy note. The taste is chocolate, mild roast, and a mild hop finish. Medium bodied. Not a bad beer, not a good experience.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of queenholly. I was in Indianapolis last year and didn’t get a chance to get by Flat 12, so I’m glad to try this. Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a huge foamy off-white head. It seemed like it was on the verge of being a gusher. Nice aroma, sweet and toasted pumpkin notes with pumpkin spice, pumpkin seed and a faint touch of bitterness. The taste is big pumpkin spice, some toasted notes and a spicy finish. Medium bodied, lingering spice and very high carbonation. Overcarbonated, but still nice.

Bottle. Golden body with a frothy white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of all spice, cinnamon, pumpkin. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Plenty of pumpkin spicing in the taste, especially nutmeg, all spice and cinnamon. Would have enjoyed more with the body dialed up and the spice dialed down. One was enough.

Sampled from the tap at FOBAB 2012. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has sweet dark grains with a bit of roasted malts and just a hint of bourbon. Flavor has sweet dark grains and bitter chocolate with a bourbon note that grows in to a warming finish.

tap at Baker’s Street in Ft Wayne - Flat 12 makes an excellent porter. This version of Pogues Run is just as good. The thing is I had a hard time noticing the tangerines. Maybe my palate isn’t so good but I just didn’t detect much fruit here at all. It’s their usual very tasty porter.
