Purchased as part of a mixed 6Pack at Wilbur's in Ft Collins.
It pours from 12oz bottle(some numbers etched on the bottom of the bottle: 258-0-2 0724) a deep gold with a small head of foam and...a lot of floaties. I hope that doesn't mean that I have a bottle that is *well* past it's best by date. Anywho, the foam lasts right through the session and it has lots of lacing. It'll be hard to score on appearance. :^(
The smell is very hoppy by way of grapefruit and....it smells like how a dry hopped ale would taste.
The taste is nicely balanced between some semi sweet malt and not too bitter hop character. The hops are more floral than anything else. I can't taste any grass and as far as citrus goes, there's just a touch of maybe, lemon. Overall, the flavour works for me. Now the malt kicks in again and I note some earthiness. The finish is slightly bitter and the mouthfeel is medium. I like it despite seeing those damn floaties when I raise my glass. Next time I see a bottle, I'm gonna check it out more thoroughly because if this bottle *is* past it's prime, a fresher sample would "probably" impress me even more.

Purchased at Wilbur's Liquors in Ft Collins for US$7.49 a 6 Pack.
This beer pours from 12oz bottle a clear medium gold with a medium sized head of foam. After a few minutes, the foam is all but gone but it does have some lacing in the early stages.
The smell has a huge grapefruit nose along with some floral hops.
The taste starts off with the grapefruit and follows through with floral hops that makes for some real strong bitterness. As I swish the Ale in my mouth, I'm picking up some malt that I didn't notice when I was just sipping....it's earthy and it gives some balance to this very bitter IPA. The finish for me alternates between the hop bitterness and earthy malt and I quite like it. I'm also getting some grain the more sips I take. I think it's more complex than what the first taste would have you believe...this is a good sipping IPA and I'd guess that the alcohol content would be somewhere between 6.5% and 7% abv as it's no "light weight". Solid IPA if you're willing to give it a chance to warm up a bit...

12oz bottle. Filtered orange body. Foamy, creamy off-white head. Pretty decent IIPA, especially for $8.99 a six pack. Decent hop depth, not a new school juice bomb, but not a one dimensional resin beast either. Drinkable, with a sort of standard West Coast feel. OK.
