Can poured into a snifter showing well filtered honey yellow with half a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows moderately intense notes of clean bread and biscuit malts. The palate is medium bodied and well but smoothly carbonated. Clean flavours of bready malt with a light pilsener bitterness on the finish. Clean and easy pilsner

Pour is a clear tan with a large white head. Aroma is a nice cracker and toasted malt. Flavor is more of the aroma. A decent toasted dry malt and bread with a little odd sweetness right at the back end. This was a decent o-fest. Decent malt, baked bread and very dry even with the odd sweetness after the swallow.

Pour is a near black with a huge tan head. Aroma is pine hops and a slight roast malt. Flavor is pretty much the same a pine hops and the roasted malt stands out a little more. Finish leaves a little spicy rye and roast malt on the tongue. This was a decent beer, plenty of pine hops with equal roasted rye malt without one over doing the other.

Pour is a hazy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is cereal bready grain with a touch of lemon. Flavor is more bready grain malt and a more lemon lime hops. The NZ did not bring that much to this beer and that was a bit of a disappointment. Still this was a fine and clean crisp pils with plenty of chewy malt.

Bottle from Wine & Cheese. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate and bourbon. Med body or so. Sort of plummy, chocolate and bourbon. Finishes just a bit earthy and fruity. Not quite dry.

12oz bottle. Has that loud hissing carbonation that screams infection. Sour garbage aroma and biting non-to-style sourness. Shabby stuff, shouldn’t be in the marketplace.

Bottle from Wine & Cheese. Pours hazy brown with a ruddy tinge; tan head; transient head. Aroma of caramel/brown sugar with some bourbon. Nose tingling. Full bodied. Flavor is brown sugar, bourbon, and musty wood. It’s not dry, but there’s an astringent tang that renders it less sweet than many barleywines. It’s a sipper that makes ya think about it. Finish is brown sugar/wood. This is rather interesting stuff. Amazing what goes on in wood. Finally I realize there is some heat. It was so interesting I didn’t notice before.

12oz bottle. Disturbing strong candy strawberry aroma. Massive unruly head. Mildly infected, but the flavor sort of work with the strawberry. Quite a poor beer, inexpertly crafted. Not good. Cloyingly artificial.

12oz bottle. 3 months old. Vile, putrid aroma...some infection has set in. Tastes nowhere near as bad as the aroma, but that alone is a killer. Weak stuff.

12oz bottle. Deep brown-amber body, unfiltered. Steady, massive, beige head. A pretty malt forward example of the style, certainly a little antiquated. Could pass for a Barleywine easily, in essence it really is one. Nothing about it is really off, but nothing is particularly exciting etiher. Not outright piney or resinous, which is nice, more of a light zesty classic NW thing going on. OK, but I wouldn’t want a four-pack.
