Unclear mahogany with a a medium sized beige head. Aroma had dhints of roasted malt, caramel and spices. Flavour was somewhat spicy with roasted malt, caramel and mild hops.

On tap. Comes as "Ølgod Special Pilsner". Hazy, dark orangey brown with a nice, beige head leaving some lacework. Aroma of dried fruit and a little butter. Medium body, sweetish roasted malt, dried fruit and some licorice. Dry, bitter finish. 030409

From tap at Ølgod, as Special Pilsner. Pours dark brown to orange with a small off white head. Roasted malt aroma, light butterish and vague hoppy. Flavour is hoppy, light fruity and with a solid roasted malt note. Bitter and fruity finish. Light butterish note.

Draught @ Ølgod Bryghus, Tværgade 7, 6870 Ølgod, DenmarkUnclear light sparkling medium red brown color with virtually none head. Aroma is light spicy, clove, licorice - anis. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20081123]

Draught @ Ølgod Bryghus, Tværgade 7, 6870 Ølgod, DenmarkUnclear medium amber brown color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, nutty notes, moderate hoppy, pine, orange, licorice - anis. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20081109]

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. As "Ølgod Den Gode Jul". Pours a clear, warm reddish brown with an off-white head. Sweetish fruity and spicy nose. Medium body, lightly tart orange accents and some star aniseed. Dry and bitter finish. 6/3/6/3/11= 2.9 010209

On tap. Pours opaque black with a vague tint of orange and a light brown head. Lightly burned malt aroma. Medium body, sweetish roasted malt - even with a lightly burned touch - dried fruit, kinda pruney. Very subdued bitterness. 301108

50 cL bottle. Pours slight cloudy and golden reddish dark brown with a small tan head. Dry, spiced and hoppy aroma. Acidic and mild spiced flavoured with a mild roasted malt presence. Seems slight off. Ends mild acidic.

From tap at YNWA. Pours murky dark brown with a small tan head. Roasted malt, chocolate and light hoppy aroma. Sweet malty flavoured, light roasted and with a nice hoppy bitternes coming through. Quite fruity into a solid hoppy finish. Subdued chocolate malt presence.

From tap at dronning Louise. Pours dark brown and hazy. Holds a small tan head. Mild spiced and roasted malty aroma. Mild sweet flavoured, light bitter and spiced, yet not overly so. Light annis seed, cinnamon and vague cardemomme presence. Lingering finish with a nice spice and malty mix.

Draft. An unclear brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes fruit, and lighter notes of caramel, spices and cocoa. The flavor is very sweet with notes of yeast, fruit, spices, caramel, and cocoa. The finish is dry with notes of caramel and spices lingering.

Had this at Dronning Louise, Esbjerg, Jutland, Denmark 22-09-08 Pours hazy murky brown with a white lacing for a head. Nice bit of bitterness for a brown ale, good furry hoppiness, nice bite, good beer.

Draught. Frothy white good mostly deminishing head. Very dark red-amber colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Fruity and very spicey flavor. Almost astringent. Averrage finish. Oily palate. More interresting than good.
