Growler thanks to Fratto. Pours with an off-white head over a clear amber body. Aroma of leather, grain, caramel, belgian yeast, hops, and a bit of caraway. Taste is dry, alcoholic, belgian yeast, bread and low residual sweetness. Medium carbonation.

Uncle Billy’s Brew & Que in Austin. The beer pours a dark brownish-black color with a medium light brown head that dissipates steadily. Patchy lacing on the glass. Light roasted malt aroma with a touch of coffee. Medium, soft body with flavors of malt, milk chocolate and mild coffee. Very little if any nutty character actually. The finish is malty with a light coffee bitterness left behind. Overall a decent Porter, but kind of a head-scratcher as to calling it a Pecan Porter. I know those nuts are expensive but this could have used more.

Thanks to whoever left a full growler at CCB after Big Sound release. Pours black with beige head, light golden lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, light pecan nose. Taste, nutty / pecan with chocolate malts, light abv an palate with some coffee notes in the finish and some faint bitterness. Very tasty and gets better after a few pints and after it sits outside for a few.

Growler courtesy of kiefdog. Pours dark with full mocha head. The aroma is malt balls, roastiness, a touch of pecan infused coffee, a dash of burnt malts and a hint of earthiness. The taste is much the same with a load of roasty malts and moving into malt balls, coffee and a hint of pecan. To midway and into the finish I get notes of chocolate, roastiness and fading burnt malts. Good stuff with plenty going on.

Handbottle from the brewery. Pours an opaque dark brown color with a medium dark brown head. Decent head retention and nice rings of lacing. Aroma is bitter roasted malts, faint leafy hops, nuts and maple. Taste is pecan pie... pecans, brown sugar... leafy hop notes, slight fruity noted.
