Description
Fat Lizard Brewing Co. is a Finnish Indie brewery specializing in super fresh and drinkable American-style beers.
We’re located in Otaniemi, in the very heart of Espoo. As the first commercial brewery ever in Espoo, the company was founded by four fellows – Hessu, Topo, Topi and Eero – in 2014 and has been operative since February 2015. Today the brewery staff includes 15 irreplaceable characters altogether.
After many years of homebrewing and heavy testing, the recipes were just too good to keep for ourselves. It was time to build a brewhouse in Kivenlahti Rock Bay. Two years of constant sold-out storage left no beer for ourselves. So we moved on and expanded in Otaniemi with a decent sized brewing equipment going nationwide.
Now our beer portfolio contains various styles of craft beer, all made in our extraordinary way of brewing. Including internationally acclaimed gems. Drink more, drink better!

Draught @ Stone’s, Helsinki. Pours dark orange with a small head. Aroma of juicy fruits, hops, grass, caramely malts, toffee and hints of spices. Taste is spicy, hoppy and malty with some caramel, toffee, pine, resin and grass. Finish is smooth, fresh and malty with some caramel, berries, spices, grass and resin. The spiciness doesn’t quite fit in, but otherwise a decent DIPA. --- Beer merged from original tick of Sweet Mary 390 Double IPA on 06 Feb 2016 at 21:10 - Score: 7

(Keg at Hilpeä Hauki, 20151204) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had chocolate, soft fruit candies and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, chocolate, soft fruit candies, coffee and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A somewhat weird beer but not bad.
