Established in 2014
We’re located in Otaniemi, in the very heart of Espoo. As the first commercial brewery ever in Espoo, the company was founded by four fellows – Hessu, Topo, Topi and Eero – in 2014 and has been operative since February 2015. Today the brewery staff includes 15 irreplaceable characters altogether.
After many years of homebrewing and heavy testing, the recipes were just too good to keep for ourselves. It was time to build a brewhouse in Kivenlahti Rock Bay. Two years of constant sold-out storage left no beer for ourselves. So we moved on and expanded in Otaniemi with a decent sized brewing equipment going nationwide.
Now our beer portfolio contains various styles of craft beer, all made in our extraordinary way of brewing. Including internationally acclaimed gems. Drink more, drink better!

Tap at Black Door. Clear amber color, good creamy white head, lace. Aroma has citrus and fruityness. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Pale malty, mellow fruity hoppyness. Easygoing but clean. My first one from this brewery.

(Keg at Oljenkorsi, 20150320) The beer poured amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, citrciness, lemon juice and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, citricness, pine, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and acridly bitter. A brew with nice aroma but a too harsh taste.

Tap@ Black door. Amber colored, thin white head. Citrusy aroma, some lime even. Not much else really. Flavor has gooseberries, citrus, tea. Finish is hoppy, bitter and crisp. High carbonation. Tea is quite evident in the finish. Not a bad brew by any means but don’t stick out in any way.

Draught @ Bier-Bier, Helsinki
Pours orange with a large white head. Aroma of fruits, zesty citrus, grapefruit, lemon, caramel and sweetish yeasty notes. Taste is sweetish, malty and fruity with notes of citrus, gooseberries, mild yeastiness and toffee. Finish is sweetish, grassy and caramely with some gooseberries and mild bitterness. A bit too malty and sweet IPA for my taste.

Draught @ One Pint Pub. Aroma is rather fruity with hops, caramel, pineapple and some apricot. Flavour has somewhat aggressive hops, grapefruit, pineapple juice and . Finishes with minerals, lingering hops, slight herbal bitterness and cereal. Refreshing and clean, only flaw here is the harsh, herbal bitterness in the background. Also the mineral notes take a bit over at the end of the glass and this does not feel that fruity anymore.

Draught @ One Pint
Aroma has bready malt, toffee and hints of apricot. Flavour has bready malt, some grapefruit, toffee and mandarin. Finishes with mellow lingering hops. Decent, easy-to-drink, clean and malty APA with mild hoppiness.

Draught @ Brewdog helsinki. Pours amber colored, thin white head. Sweet oranges in aroma, white grapes, hint of toffee. Flavor has sweet tropical fruits, orange and pineapples. Quite thin body. Ok bitterness. Not a bad brew to debut with.

Draught @ Brewdog Helsinki Pours orange with a smooth head. Aroma of mild grassy hops, hints of crisp malts, caramel, toffee and citrus. Taste is smooth, slightly bitter and grassy with hints of malts, citrus and pine. Finish is crisp, mildly bitter and grassy. Okay, quite easy going, but a bit dull and watery pale ale. 6-3-6-3-12 = 3.0. Re-rated on 13.10.2015. Draught @ Stone’s. Feels a bit more balanced and fruity. Still a bit dull and too easy going, though.

Tap at Black Door, Helsinki. Colour is clear light orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, citrus, hops and malts. Very thin. Hard to believe this is 5.8%. Clean and fresh but easy to forget. Wrong beer for this time of year.
