Draught at the brewpub
Cloudy deep blond color with compact head. Strong aroma of yeast, herbs (mirth), traces of fruit. It has too much carbonation, low malt flavor, a lot of yeast, evident presence of orange peels, and again some herbal component; ends too bitter, and astringent, with traces of roasted nuts. Very messy.

Draught at the brewpub
Muddy dark amber color, with compact head. Served too cold, it also has too much carbonation. Mild aroma of wheat and roasted malt; very light traces of citrus fruits (orange). The flavor combines the spicy wheat with some chocolate and roasted malt; the bitterness is just a bit too high; and there is a lot of yeast. Not totally bad, but unstylish, quite messy.

Bottle shared with the Richmond guys at Churchkey. Muddy brown color, small tan head. Aroma of honey and graham crackers. Taste starts sweet, honey and malto meal. No detectable hops. Not bad as chestnut beers go.

Oaky barrel funk with doughy yeastiness. Savory mineral components to go with a tangy and lightly sour profile. Semi-dry finish, very nice.

Bottle from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours dark amber brown with a 3 finger creamy/bubbly beige head. Aromas of nut and honey. Med body. It’s lightly sweet, and it has that chestnut flavor with some mildly spicey honey behind it. Honey flavor, tho not sugar particularly, comes forth in the finish.
