Well over 20 years after the pioneers of micro brewing started their adventurous journey of crafting their own beers all over the United States, the Camelthorn Brewing Company is following in their footsteps, making Namibian history.

Note: Camelthorn was taken over in January 2014 by Namibia Breweries, production moved there.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Short light bitter finish. Watery palate.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, nuts, flowers and hops.

Bottle. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Brown colour. MOderate malty and light hoppy and light yeasty aroma. light bitter flavor. Short light bitter finish. Seems a little too old (Not past BB). Oily palate.

Bottle 300ml.[ Courtesy of omhper ]. Light unclear medium to dark red amber colour with a huge, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, wheat, moderate yeasty, phenol, yeast. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, phenol, yeast, chocolate notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120324]

Bottle. Slightly hazy brown with small diminishing tan head. Aroma is malt, caramel ,yeast, wheat and fruit. Flavour is malt, yeast, wheat, medium sweeet, little dried fruits, high carbonation and a slightly acid.

Bottle. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are yeast, banana, fruits, malt, caramel and hops. High carbonation.

Deep hazy amber color, steady beige head. Caramel, crystal malty sweetness in the nose, Slightly sour, berryish, lots of cardboard. Gone old? All of these Camelthorns I’ve had, have been quite weird.

Bottled (thanks omhper!). Reddish amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruits, mild syrup and some mild oxidation sweetness. Flavour is fruity, floral, bitter, caramelly and mild dry bitter grassyness. Semi-mouthdrying.

Bottle 300ml.[ Courtesy of omhper ]. Clear medium to dark amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, sweet malt, tobacco, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, wood, rubber and berry notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average duration, thin. Body is light to medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20120324]
