Can. Beermoth, Manchester. Hazy, mucky gold. Thin, dense, glossy topped, sticky, creamy white head. Looks great. There’s no canning date on this, and I suspect it’s not the freshest beer. The aroma suggests similar. It’s not vibrant, but there’s decent, spicy, piney hop. Some fusty citrus peel. Bit of toffee, and jammy malts. Taste is dank, resinous bitter. Slight dryness. Touch of spice. Decent mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden. Long, spicy bitter finish. Sank it.

Can. Beermoth, Manchester. Canned long time. Hazy, dark yellow. Film of sticky, white head. Still smells pretty good. Nicely dank, piney, and herbal. Taste is herbal, piney bitter. Very oily and resinous. Smooth, and a little chewy. Long, resinous bitter finish. I imagine fresh, this is stunning. As it is, it’s still pretty tasty, and very easy drinking,

Tower 42 Tasting. Can thanks to Dan. Almost clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin malts, mildly sweet. Light hop spice. Marmalade and orange peel. Pine. Touch of bitter lemon. Light finish brings grapefruit. Tasty.

22 oz bottle shared by a friend, thanks Mike! Poured into a Belgian snifter. Dark brownish black with tan head. Aromas of roast, dark chocolate, coffee. Tastes of roasty notes, dark chocolate, coffee, light oak. Medium body with a dry finish. Nicely masked alcohol for the ABV.

Can from Antenna America. Mike Hess Solis IPA 7.5% I really like the fact that the whole top of the can comes off the can, that’s pretty cool. The color is a bright gold with a filmy white head. The aroma is orange blossoms with lots of musty funk. Medium bodied with decent hoppiness and a candy sweetness but it is kind of a boring beer. For the 700 yen or so it goes for in Japan I can’t justify buying another Mike Hess where the coolest thing about it is the can.

Can. Grassy, slightly vegetal nose, some vanilla and tropical fruit. Hazy gold with lace. Sweet and fruity, tropical fruit candy. Light sweet and slightly vegetal. Not my thing.

Can from Perry’s. It pours a pale golden yellow color with a nice two finger white head. The aroma is fruity and tropical with peach, passionfruit, mango, and grapefruit. Not super potent, but pleasant. The flavor is the same with some more grapefruit, orange, passionfruit with some strong citrus zest in a medium to strong bitter finish. The body is pretty full, but the malts are very light and pale. Pretty juicy. Enjoyable stuff. One of the better ones I’ve had in this series.

Bottle thanks to Jen! Pours a dark orange with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is belgian yeast, figs, plum skin. Medium mouth, strong sweetness, pepper, dough, boozy finish, good.

Can from Cornelius. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of honey, melon and pineapple. Flavour of orange, biscuit, white grape and a bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Light fizz. Very lean and drinkable.
