Description
Mike Hess Brewing is one of the premier craft breweries of San Diego. We set out with a mission to bring people together over great beer and were early on in the craft beer revolution. We were the region’s 33rd brewery back in 2010 when our first location, then a nano-brewery, in Miramar was opened. Now, in our 10th year, we have 5 locations in California, including the “OG” spot, which has since tripled in size!

Pour is a clear blond with a large white head. Aroma is a nice tropical fruity hop with an overall nice hoppy dankness. Flavor is again a nice fresh and juicy hop with a big bitterness. Finish is smooth and leaves a nice hop on the tongue. I will have hop burps all night. I don’t know who Mike Hess is but he makes a fine IPA.

Lightly hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and crispy from fine minerally carbonation. Light and slightly soft pale malts. Lovely light piney floral hops, a bare whisper of skunk. Very light tropical fruits before a light finish. Mild hop spice linger. Very nice, light and easy drinking.

Light haze on this yellow - gold beer, small white head. Palate is smooth and dry with good fine carbonation. Dry creamy malt. Thin insipid orange. Mild seltzer. Light dry finish. Pretty tasteless and it joins a long list of very disappointing US fruity wheats.
