Of course i listened to the song before rating the beer. Kind of okay for that kind of music, must admit i am more a metal guy and less a prog rock guy, but it was okay, bit boring. can, 47.3cl (1 pint) slightly hazy yellow, smooth offwhite head. bittersweet flowery stong ipa aroma, seems like it is more malty and alc. strong than heaviliy hopped. aroma is like a double-ipa that should have been hopped a bit more agressively or perhaps the selection of hops were a bit off. Flavor is really good though, certanly lots of hoppy flavors, and the malts and alc. matches well with the agressive hop flavors. also quite well composed, the beer has a flavor, not a lot of different kinds of flavors put togeter. If i try i get malts, pine, grapefruit, flower nectar, perhaps even honey. A very good american style IPA , however with a subdued aroma, but the flavor is super potent and well balanced.

Optisch leicht trüb, schöner Schaum. In der Nase Orangen, im Trunk schön hopfig, trocken, leicht harzig, frisch, fast schon süffig. Spät bitter.

Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver; bottled Oct 2021
Black colour, small head. Tons of caramel, some malt, a bit salty; dark chocolate; and there is quite some vanilla too; it's sweet, a bit boozy.
Not bad, but it's monodimensional.

500ml shared with Ryan in Alex's garage. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: loads of caramel, very sweet, chocolate. Taste: along the same lines, don't really get bourbon here. Overall: good.

The pint can was purchased at the local HEB with the better singles selection, $1.99. Interesting artwork. I do like Mosaic hops but that seems to rarely be the focus of an IPA anymore. Lift into a shaker glass from a Houston brewery and I determine a orange going to gold liquid with a steadfast top of fully white foam. I smell citrus, juice and a bit of hops. And the taste, all right, not life changing. Orange rind, pine, grass, a touch of turpentine and crackers. An okay brew.

Can 47,3 cl. Pours an opaque black with a ceamy, light brown head. Sweet and intense hazelnut aroma with an almond edge. Rich and rather sweet - flavor wise perhaps more peanut than hazelnut. Sweet, faint roast and plenty of vanilla with little bitterness. I suspect this gets cloying rather quickly, but delish in small doses. 190922

Can 47,3 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Faint citrusy nose, somewhat yeasty. Fairly solid, sweet fruitiness with good tropical hop notes. Subdued bitterness. 190922
