Bottle. Sour cherry and the typical dry, musty lambic aroma. Dark red color wtih small film of a head. Initial cherry flavor with a crescendo of tartness. Finishes with the typical lambic musty and dry flavor. Dryness lasts long after swallowing. Sourness is well balanced - just enough without becoming too powerful. How I found this in the middle of Indiana Amish country I’ll never know.

Hazy golden gueuze with a thick white head. Sour apples and small wild cherries in aroma, with horseblanket notes. Balance of lemon and tart apples in mouth, extra puckering with chalky notes. Creamy and smooth. Bought at the brewery in late april 2005, tasted May 2005, Capflu’s BW tasting.

Bottled at Kaffee den Hopduvel, Ghent, Belgium - 1999 Vintage
Brownish pink, clear body. Fully diminishing head. Nose of cask wood and raspberries. Lightly sweet, heavily acidic flavour. Lightly to medium bodied. Very fizzy carbonation. The champagne styled flavours of the 3 Fonteinen Oude Gueuze are perefectly combined with the fruitiness of real raspberries (no syrup). Great craftmanship. I want more of this. Please Armand, start brewing this again.

2024-05-26, bottled 30/10/2014, 10 years old, 10-4-9-4-19=
Hazy, a bit dark and dull. Wonderful aroma, funk, moldy cellar, ginger, orange peel, pepper, light fart. Moderate acidity, bone dry; strong funky character, wood, lemon.
Wonderful.

Funk and barnyard nose, some farts. Highly carbonated, strong funky character.
Excellent.

Hazy golden colour with persistent head. It's dry, with some light Lambic character, light acidity, touch of orange peel, almost no funk. It's alright, but quite shallow compared to the average 3F.
2016-10-19, corked bottle, vintage 1999, 6.5% ABV, 7-4-7-3-15=36
The aroma is a bit corky; the mouthfeel is smooth, it's a bit lemony, very astringent, with just mild funky character.
Not as impressive as I hoped.

Hazy golden color. Wonderful aroma, very complex, balanced (cellar aroma, sourness, some fruitness). The taste has still some sugars, well sour without being excessive. It's difficult to ask for better…

Bottle from secret santa Nat
Fruity, light spongy and carboardy aroma. Hazy orange amber, blanket lacing head. Heavy and round first impression, strength is evident, fruity, hayish, minerally yeast. Oily mouthfeel, pearling carbonation. Bready aftertaste.

Milwaukee YEHa!05, brought by DenverLogan. Red body, thin ring of off-white carbonation. Tart, sour cherry aroma, woody, musty, with the ever-present cheese rind notes. This is the closest to Cantillon I’ve smelled that isn’t actually from that brewery. Nice sour woody bite, with tangy cherries that really develop nicely, moving beyond sourness to the tart, sweet bite of a cherry pie. Cheese rind and must were present and delicious. Not quie as sour as Cantillon but I picked up more fruit depth here than I typically do in a Kriek. Excellent.

Bottle, courtesy of my favorite secret santa :-)
Hazy amber, low foamy tanned head. Slightly tart green mossy and peachy aroma. Fairly bubbly yet dry mouthfeel - improves quite a bit by beating the carbonation out. Fruit (peach) base, tart yeasty minerally edges. Light on the middle, very dry finish. Light peach/apricot aftertaste.

Bottle, thanks secret Nat
Hazy yello, bubbly, foamy white head. Oranges, minerals and clove in the aroma. Yeasty minerally, a hint oranges, light, slightly papery body, some citric tartness - fizzles out on a clove note.

Hazy amber lambic wiht no head. Sweetish actic aroma with notes of pears and light funkyness. Very tart in mouth, almost like orange juice brushign your teeth. Not as intense as other lambic tasted on my trip, but a good lambic. On tap at the Drie Fonteinen restaurant, april 2005.

Bottled at Delirium, Gothenburg. Golden, with almost no head and carbonation. Sour, citric aroma with hints of green apples. Tart, biting on tongue. Lovely. Rating: 8-4-8-4-17-4.1. (051008)
Bottle, 37.5cl corked. A slightly hazy, orange beer with a white head and some fine lacings. The aroma has barnyard, horse-blanket and lemon in a nice union. Acidic, lemony flavor with a touch of barnyard and horse blanket. Tart and astringent, really mouth puckering. Lemony finish. Yummy. (080926)
