Bottled. Dark ruby red colour, mediumsized bubbly brown head. Caramel and hops in aroma. Caramel, malts, rye, toffee and roast in flavour. Good for a non-alco, though it has some of the non-alcoholic notes in it.

Dark ruby brown, small tan head. Roasted malty aroma with typical low alcohol "rubbery nose". Medium-bodied, roasted with low alcohol harshness. Harsh aftertaste, quite sweet. Although not really good beer, this is quite good as low alcohol brew. I could image to use this with food.

Bottled (BB 01/2007)
Dark ruby red, small tan head. Light roasted malty aroma with hints of corn and sugar. Very carbonated. Dry roasted flavor. More or less ok, but intensive carbonation is quite attacking.

Pale yellow color, small white head. Nose is a bit skunky, strong corn aroma. Corny malty, cheap flavor. Bland but my first Madeiran beer since 1989 :)

Bottle BB Sept 06 Pale yellow lage with nothing particularly memorable I can recall, having just been to Lisbon for the weekend I was hoping to be pleasantly suprised by one or two of the local beers (OK this was Madeiran, but it was easy enough to pick up in Lisbon) the only remarkable thing about this beer was just how bland it was.

(Bottle 20 cl) Very dark brown with a warm, underlying reddish note. Pretty, light brown - but dissipating - head. Vague aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with notes of roasted malt - and perhaps a wee touch of coffee. Very dry - almost completely without any sweetness. An odd brew. Adorable little 20 cl bottle! 231105

(Bottle 33 cl) Pretty, deep golden colour with a nice, creamy head. A vague tartness in the aroma revealing the brewing cereal used in this - corn most likely. Quite a dry body and a rather high acidity. Not a great lager. 130805

(Bottle 33 cl) Golden, limited head. A straight, flawless lager. Reminds me a lot of a typical Danish standard pilsener although a bit stronger in alcohol and body. Thanks to Katja K. for bringing me this from Madeira. 100105
