Draught @ brewery. Pours hazy dark Golden with a creamy head. Sweet nose and Flavor. Fresh grains, caramel, banana and mild Spice. Smooth. Fine.

Tap @ Hansens Brauerei, Flensburg. Clear very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. A good schwarzbier. 220412

Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, toasted, fruity, light to moderate hoppy. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, grassy, malty, fresh. [10/1/11] Mahleket Hanikot Shotrim ’11 tour. Draught at the brewpub in Flensburg. Very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of some roastiness and slightly milky coffee. Sweetish flavor with light roastiness, a bit of malt and a slightly drier finish. Light to medium-bodied. Quite easy-drinking.

[10/1/11] Mahleket Hanikot Shotrim ’11 tour. Draught at the brewpub in Flensburg. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of noble hops, vegetal yeasty notes and a bit of grainy notes. Flavor starts sweetish with light graininess and a bit of bread and continues to a mildly bitter finish with some slightly grassy hops. Medium-bodied. Quite refreshing.

Draught at the brewpub. Weak caramelly aroma. Cloudy copper colour. Small stable off-white head. The flavour is weakly caramelly. There is also a hint of spicy hoppiness, but it fades away rather quickly. A bit of rough bitterness in the finish.

2 liter bottle thanks to Lea! (non-ratebeer)On August 30, 2009Dark reddish brown to black color, tan fluffy head. Sweet, caramel, butterscotch, candy scent. Sweet, caramel, hoppy, rosated taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Roasted and caramel aftertaste. Very nice one.

Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, light salty. Both aroma and flaver is very oyster stout alike.
