Description
The first written records of the brewery in Protivín date back to 1540. In 1711, it became the property of the Schwarzenberg noble family, where it remained for more than two hundred years. During the Schwarzenberg era, a beautiful brewhouse with copper boilers was built, including an atypical wort pan in the shape of a square, where beer is still brewed to this day. South Bohemian water from its own wells, traditional way of brewing and skills of South Bohemia are for decades the basis of beer brewed here, known under the brand Platan.

In 2008 the brewery became part of the Pivovary Lobkowicz Group.

w zapachu słody, odrobina jasnego pieczywa, zioła i zielone rośliny. kolor złoty, dość głęboki, klarowny. piana biała , średnio obfita, średnio trwała, znika bez śladu. w smaku pełne, konkretne, słody, jasny chleb, lekki herbatnik, sporo ziół, trochę zielonych roślin, ale jak najbardziej pozytywnie. goryczka konkretna, ziołowa, czysta, klasyczna. nasycenie umiarkowane.

500ml bottle shared by djoeye. Bubbly white head, fragile lacing, clear, warm golden body. Smell of pale malts and vegetables. Taste of wort, grain and vegetables. Half dry. Thin bodied as expected. Okay version of an alcohol free beer. (Thanksbeeringparty with djoeye and Finn, Pivoteka H7, Tromsø 24.11.2017).

Clear, golden colored, medium white frothy head,OK lasting. Aroma is of some malt, cardboard, some grassy herbal hops, buttery. Taste is medium- sweet malt, bit grain, buttery, cardboard again with light veggies, light grassy hops, medium-light bitterness. Medium to light bodied, soft+ carbonation. (bottle)

Der Name "Prácheňská Perla" ist ein Titel, der offenbar weitergegeben wurde. Die Flasche, welche ich jetzt im Oktober 2017 verkoste, kommt von der Brauerei Bakalář in Rakovník. Auf allen Werbeplakaten, wie auch auf dem Etikett ist eine urige, breit grinsende Dame mit extrem tief ausgeschnittenen Dekolleté zu sehen, welche in beiden Händen ein Bierglas hält. Das Bier ist ein typisches tschechisches Helles, das mir ein wenig zu wässrig ist, aber sich gut trinken lässt.

0.5l bottle. Amber color with low white head.Aroma: caramel, biscuit. Taste: sweetish with od caramel, biscuit and light herbal notes. Light body, moderate carbonation. Light bitterness. Ok but just an average.
