Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Slightly unclear dark orange color, small white head. Smell and taste are way too sweet imo, also way too much banana and a bit chemical even. Pretty crappy this.

Bottle @ home. Amber colour with a small white head. Smells banana, sweet, herbs and yeast. Tastes very sweet, banana, herbs and spices, yeast, sugary. Way too sweet for me and I might even add way too sweet for a triple. Medium body, soft carbo.

Shared bottle one month past best before date. Slight gusher. Hazy light golden with very big white head. Spruce, hay, lime peel, elderberry flowers, powdery dry plaster, light crackers. Medium to light bodied. Taste is light tart and bitter. Not bad for the low ABV.

Pitch black, almost no head. Aroma sweet malty, roasted, cocoa, liquorice, brown sugar, cinnamon. Taste medium sweet and bitter, roasty, chocolate. Full body, oily texture, flat carbonation, aftertaste bittersweet, roasty, chocolate, alcoholic. Not so much refinement in this beer, one-dimensional.

330 ml. bottle shared with Kraddel @ Rampkrot. Procured @ ABC Beers. Dark brown wood appearance, little bubbles. Nose is murky, lots of umami & soy sauce. Taste is soy sauce, herbal, bitter herbs, sweet, mushrooms,… Lower body, umami soy sauce body. Not really for me & not particularly well executed either.

330 ml. bottle @ home. Procured from ABC Beers. 2014 Edition. BBF 03/2016. Dark burned sugar amber, little head. Weird vegetable stock, burned sugar, caramelized malt, sweet nose, weird vegetable nose coupled with lots of burned sugar sweetness, light vegan salami. Taste is herbal, touch metallic huge umami burned sugar, touch very sweet herbs, lots of sweet vegetable stock, lots of caramelized malts,… Very weird flavor profile. Oily thick caramelized sugar lager body, coats the mouth a bit, lots of burned & caramelized sugar. Almost too weird to stomach but does drink easily enough, not too heavy. Very strange brew & not really what I would expect from the style but I do have limited experience there. Looking at my scores I don’t seem to be the biggest fan of this style either.
