Description
Bierbrouwerij De Arn is een initiatief van Arjan te Hoonte. Arjan liep al langere tijd rond met het plan om bier te gaan brouwen. In augustus 2013 werd het eerste bier – een dubbelbok- gebrouwen in de installatie van Sallands Landbier in Raalte.

Begin 2018 gaf de eigenaar van de Zuid-Hollandsche Brouwerij (ZHB), United Dutch Breweries, Bierbrouwerij De Arn toestemming om bieren te brouwen onder de naam van de Zuid-Hollandsche Brouwerij.

Bottle @ yespr. Pours a hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel aroma. Fruity malty spicy caramel flavor with weak yeasty hints. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel finish.

Bottle shared thanks to Deanso. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of rotten fruit, herbs, spice and caramel. Flavour is over moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Bottle @ Benzai. Dark brown colour with a slightly ruby glow shining through and a minimal sized beige head. Smells speculaas, pepernoten, gingerbread, brown sugar, sweet, slightly roasty. Tastes sweet, pepernoten, caramel, toffee, slightly roasty, some coffee, raisins and a hint of wood. It’s a bit too sweet for me. Medium to full body, soft carbo.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Dark brown color with a deep dark red glare coming through, small beige head. Smell malts, sweetness, lightly herbs. Taste malts, brown sugar, slightly roasty, lightly dark fruits like black currant, lightly herbs. Lightly bitter finish, quite oily texture, medium to good body, medium carbonation. Quite well brewed.

Bottled. A hazy dark red beer with a huge light tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, bread, and caramel, leading to a bitter fnish.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is mild herbal, spiced and toasted malty. Metallic. Caramelish and breadish. Mild sweet finish. Lasting metallic impression. Bitter too.

Bottle @ yespr tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are sweet fruits, little candy sugar, malt and hops.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark brown with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is yeast with a little citrus. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth liqourice palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Quite inoffensive and drinkable when cool.

Tap sample at Arendsnest. Clear amber-brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of sweet malts, caramel, toast. Flavour of toast, roasted malts, caramel, light-bitter finish. Light-bodied for 8% ABV.
