Bottle from Coop. Pours almost clear golden. Aroma is pale malts, straw, grass, hints of yeast residues. Body is medium and is almost indistinguishable from a pale lager. Some malt sweetness, some bitterness, almost nothing which makes a ZKL a ZKL. Disappointing. Okay as a lager, but even for that it's not particularly good.

Draught @ Johanniter, Zürich. Aroma has some sewer tones and grain. Flavour has buttery tones, malt, some menthol, mild grassy hops and hints of mint. Bulky, looks and tastes like a pale lager.

Bottle. Pours cloudy amber with a big head. Aroma is grassy hops and flowers at first, later more banana, sugar and little booze. Body is medium, lively carbonated, pleasantly and softly sweet, leading to a rather dry palate. Quite smooth and good to drink. Good.

33 cl. bottle at Hotel Le Saint Romain, Romainmotier. Hazy, amber-golden colour with a medium sized, white head. Fruity aroma with caramel malts, sweet fruits, citrus and tangerines. Taste is light bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with sweet exotic fruits and caramel malts. An earthy touch. Too sweet for an APA. Still enjoyable.
