Golden colored, moderate strong white head. Aroma is malt, grains, some fruits, herbal hops, bit metallic. Taste is moderate sweet malt, grainy, fruity and herbal notes, low bitterness. Low to medium bodied and carbonation. Nothing exciting.

bottle at home. amber light hazy color. very small off-white head. smells malty sweet, fruity, peach, honey. light body, very bubbly carbonation, bubbly mouthfeel. the carbonation obscures a lot of the taste, which I think actually improves the beer. tastes of grain, light sourish note, some sweetness, light fruity, acidic, citric, some grass, light yeasty. acidic / bubbly finish. interesting one, drinks quite easy, interesting ideas but a bit light in taste, overall not too special.

Bottle @ home. Clear pale golden color, small white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Smell and taste some malts, lightly bitter, lightly roasty and a slight herbal touch. Decent body and carbonation.

Vom Faß in Doderers Stammlokal Zur Stadt Paris, Wien, August 2013. - Goldbraun. Leicht röstmalziger Antrunk, sahniges Mundgefühl. Im Abgang leicht säuerlich und mild bitter. - Angenehm aber auf Dauer arg dünn.

Bottle from Kalea Bierkalender. Amber to copper hazy body with shortly lasting, creamy white head. Aroma of metal, grass, roasted malt, toast and some red fruits. Taste is sweet, metallic, with grass, toast and red fruits. Light body with lively carbonation and a light bitter finish. Although it is a solid beer, that offers some originality, it is a too light bodied Zwickl for my liking. Reminds me a bit of a Vienna Lager, which isn’t a bad thing of course.

Ich kann es nicht mit Sicherheit sagen, wann ich dieses Bier das erste Mal trank, aber das Bier ist 2020 noch immer süß. Es hat schon ein paar feine Karamellnoten, aber im Grunde ist es ein picksüßes Dunkles. Es mag seine Berechtigung haben, aber wirklich glücklich wird man als Bierfreund aber nicht.

An dieses Bier kann ich mich noch erinnern, da mein Biertester-Kollege Moretum, eine Kiste von diesem Bier zu seinem 20. Geburtstag über unser damaliges Stammlokal Veits in der Innenstadt von Krems an der Donau bestellt hat und wir dort getrunken haben. Das war inzwischen vor ca. 10 Jahren. Der feine Geschmack des Bieres ist mir bis heute in Erinnerung geblieben. Kein beosnders, aber ein sehr gutes Bier.

09/12 Marko’s 0.33l bottle from Austria, great thanks for sharing all of these! It poured clear yellow body with small head. Weaker malty aroma, honey and flowers. Slightly sweet malty flavor, biscuity, dusty with notes of weak herbal hops. Medium bodied with according finish, where herbal hops were more pronounced. Nothing unpleasant here, at contrary, it’s a solid generic pale lager.
