From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a creamy, off-white and dense head. Aroma is mild butterish and slight grassy hoppy. Slight sweet malty, mild grassy to citrusy hoppy and vague butterish. Sweet and mild bitter finish. Butter notes become more apparent as the beer warms up.

Draft. A dark golden beer with a nice orangey head. The aroma has notes of grain, straw, and a bit of berries. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as light notes of butter, leading to a dry fruity and bitter finish.

On tap. Pours a clear deep golden - close to amber - with a dense off-white head leaving a neat lacework. The nose has sweet malts and a little caramel. Quite full-bodied with a very solid and clean malt base. There may be some usual Apollo diacetyl, but nothing that spoils the fun though. Some dry hoppiness in the finish but alcohol in particular. Solid. 040810

Draught at Sct Clemens. Nice head with medium duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are nuts, caramel, sugar candy, malt and spices. Commercial description said to include licorice and coffee, but none of that could be detected by me.

Draught at the brewpub. The commercioal description of this beer is wrong, but confusion is outstanding. This beer 5.6 % is a special christmas beer made only at Clemens. They had it last year as well. The commercial description present here is for "Apollo Julebryg" Otherwise the beer is soapy but very bitter. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Average finish and oily palate.

An unclear yellow beer with a fine head. The aroma is maltsweet with notes of anise. The flavor is sweet, with notes of anise and orange, ending on a very slight bitterness. More like a summer beer, than an easter beer.

An unclear dark yellow beer with a very fine head. The aroma is a nice fruity aroma with malt notes. The flavor is dominated by anise from beginning to end with a lot of malt sweetness but lacking a little bitternss. In my opinion the anise is too dominating.

A black beer with a nice light brown head. The aroma is slightly smoked with notes of chocolate. The flavor is soft, slightly smoked, only a little sweet and slightly bitter with notes of chocolate - a really great balance.

An unclear orange beer with a beutiful head. It has a citrus/orange aroma and a flavor that is slightly acidic and bitter citrus but balanced with a nice sweetness. It's diferent from other 3-4 grain beers I've had - very refreshing.
