An amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of over ripe fruit and a bit of soap water. The flavor is acidic with notes of over ripe fruit, and salt water, as in other Brygmand øl.

Nice hazy amber color. First impression of apple aroma. Malty taste, not very bitter, no complexity, sweetish, just ok, nothing special. No defects, no emotions.

A hazy red beer with a nice light brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of berries, combined with some dusty notes from the hops, but also a back ground note of smoke, which is quite powerful far away from the glass. The flavor is sweet with notes of salt, berries, on a medium malty back ground, the end is slightly bitter with a combination of dusty and fruity notes from the hops. I wonder where the salty note comes from - is it the water? I’ve found it in other Brygmand beers as well.

Bottled. (as Brygmand Brombær) Hazy, reddish-brown with a beige head. Floral aromas with blackberries and malt. The flavor is hoppy and malty, and slightly metallic. Medium body and a berry finish with both bitterness and sweetness. The berries makes an unusual twist. (060812)

A very dark deep red beer with a lasting orange head. The aroma has light notes of wood, alcohol, prunes, and berries. The flavor is sweet malty with a powerful berry note as well as prunes and plums, but also lighter notes of wood and hints of alcohol, leading to a dry woody end. Nice.

A deep red beer with a dense light brown head. The aroma is sweet with a nice mixture of fruit, berries, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of berries, fruit, alcohol, and candy sugar. The end is dry mainly from the alcohol, but also with a slight acidity from the berries. The alcohol is warming the tongue.

(Bottle 50 cl) Comes as "Brygmand Sorte Øl". Pours a dark, reddish mahogany with a yeast sediment and a creamy, dense, beige coloured head. Rather neutral aroma - some roasted malt perhaps. Fairly solid body with some roasted malt. Dry - yet with a distinct underlying sweetness. Appears very maturated - and perhaps slightly oxidized? A weak fruity edge. Quite interesting somewhere in the borderland of Schwartzbier and Stout, but still very much its own. 240706

Bottled. Clear, goldden pilsner with a decent white head. Light fruity and malty on the aroma. The flavor is quite pleasant, with fruityness, malt, caramel and some hops. It could use a bit more hops, in my opinion. Medium body. A bit odd to bottled-condition a pilsener, but it turns out quite good. (060623)
