[Ancient rating, bottled] A dark yellow, fruity bock-like strong lager with creamy foam. Really full bodied, and with nice bitterness. It’s hard mouthfeel is the drawback

A red-brown beer with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and honey, while the flavor is sweet and sour with notes of lemon, leading to a very dry end. There is just something with the flavor that I don’t like - the sourness the weakness...

Bottled. Dark amber (copper) coloured, beige bubbly head. Some caramel, malt and hops in aroma. Flavour is caramellish, oakish and a bit roasted. Aftertaste is caramellish, though not very sweet. Beerstyle is something like porter meets dunkel. A bit sticky palate.

(Bottle 50 cl) Dark golden with a moderate head. Distinct smoked notes - rather unusual for Sweden. Lots of roasted malt with slightly burned notes of coffee. More unusual than good. 310303

(Bottle 50 cl) Dark golden with a small head. Dry, malty aroma. Very well balanced - neither too sweet, nor too hoppy. More like a Vienna I reckon, and definitely more interesting than your average lager. Another football (soccer) supporters beer for the club "GAIS". 300103

(Bottle 50 cl) The back label claims this is a "Märzen" which must be a complete misunderstanding. This beer is dark brown, close to black with a red, warm glow and a beige head. The flavour is burned, almost like charcoal and very bitter. Reminds me mostly of a Stout. Has a suspicious resemblance to the same brewery’s Christmas beer. 190802

(Bottle 33 cl) Not only brown, this is very close to black and almost opaque. The head is light brown and creamy - almost Guinness like. This doesn’t come close to your typical malty sweet Swedish Christmas beer. This is dry with a some slightly burned aromas and a marked bitterness that seems to last forever. Unusual - and almost closer to a Dry Stout. 120302

Bottled (BB 08/2005)
Very dark ruby color, good creamy tanned head, lace. Aroma has roasted malts, hints of chocolate and metal. Dry oaky, roasted flavor, slightly sour. Watery in the middle, a bit hard metallic mouthfeel, hints of hops in the finish. Feels more like a dunkel or schwarzbier than a märzen (bottle says märzenbier). Nice witch label!

(Bottle 33 cl) Very dark brown, almost mahogany with an underlying, warm reddish tone. Filtered, not much head. Very malty and lightly burned notes. Pretty close to the brewery’s Christmas beer. 100304
