This beer shares most characteristics with the typical danish pilseners: Golden color, weak head retention, thin to medium body. The notable exception is the extensive use of aromahops which give this beer a flowery springlike note never seen before in the danish monopilsener world. In the year 2000 the "Danish Beer Enthusiasts" voted this beer to be the new beer of the year. As of 2003 Royal Spring is in danger of being discontinued by ther brewery.
