Established in 2005
Ours is a little different. It began in the storm cellar of a home built in 1924 where a stainless steel kettle and a family's dedication formed the cornerstone of Mt. Carmel Brewing Company. Established in 2005, Mt. Carmel reestablished Cincinnati's brewing frontier. Today, our extended family of brewers and neighbors continues to push it forward. We invite you to become a part of the Mt. Carmel story.

Courtesy of markwise. Pours deep dark amber with thin off white head. The aroma is a bit spicy with cinnamon and winter spices to go along with graham cracker, some caramel and breadiness. The taste has lots of winter spices (mostly cinnamon) followed by sweet malts and a thin layer of malt roastiness. This is a decent enough mild winter brew but not really equipped to deal with a real winter.

Tasting at Papsø
Red-amber color, dark; small collar of foam. Mild aroma of caramel and apples. Dusty caramel flavor, limited roasted malt, but the ashy feeling is stronger in the end, till getting unpleasant, also in combination with a too strong bitterness.

courtesy of markwise. pours amber, off-white head. Aroma light spices, malty caramel character. Found the aroma to be a little lacking, though the taste made up for it. Flavors, got a lot of nice winter spices, cinnamon, some caramel/toffee, chocolate. Lingering roasted malts, good balance with a mild caramel finish.
