(33cl screw cap bottle) Clear, dark amber colour with a medium-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet, slightly roasty malty aroma with caramel, beet/molasses and shy herbal hoppy notes. Sweet flavour, quite light body impression for a Doppelbock, smooth carbonation. Slightly roasty malty taste with moderate notes of caramel and beety notes; Sweet and solid malty, slightly roasted finish with a delicate hoppy note and a well-integrated alcohol. Decent and a bit deceptive Doppelbock (04.05.08).

(bottle) Hazy, effervescent golden hue with a massive foamy white head. Sweet wheat-malty and yeasty aroma with a fresh sourisch fruity touch (citrus, banana) and light phenolic spice in the background. Light-sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Wheaty and banana-fruity taste; slim and slightly fruity finish with tart and bitter notes. Refreshing and slim Weizen (04.05.08).

(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a big and quite firm light-beige foamy head, slowly lacing. Light-sweet, slightly roasted malt aroma, slightly ashy with notes of herbal hops and traces of metal. Moderately bitter flavour with a light malty sweetness, light to medium body with a smooth carbonation. Toasty and slightly burnt malty taste with light notes of caramel and dark bread; dry and bitter roasty finish with a balancing sweetness and light herbal hoppy spice (01.05.08).

Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft and pleasant mouthfeel. Smooth malty base with an aromatic herbal and subtle fruity hops-character; moderately dry, slightly bitter and hoppy finish with a rounded malty sweetness. Quaffable Pilsener (02.05.08).

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big, minimal off-white foamy head. Sweet malty, slightly buttery and biscuity nose with light spicy hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, almost medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Solid malt-accented taste, slightly cara-malty and buttery with light herbal spice; medium-dry, moderately sweet malty finish with light herbal and slightly woody hoppy accents. The stronger version of the Edel Export I guess (03.05.08).

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a beautiful, slowly lacing eggshell-coloured foamy head. Sweet, cara-malty nose with milky notes of biscuits and light herbal hops in the background. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crispy mouthfeel. Mild (cara-)malty, slightly buttery taste with herbal and woody hoppy notes; moderately dry, soft malty and hop bitter finish. Tastes a bit Bohemian (03.05.08).

Sehr milder Antrunk mit leichten Hopfenandeutungen. Das Malz kommt kaum zum Zuge, es ist nur schwach im Mittelteil vorhanden und weicht einer Getreidenote, die nun wirklich nicht stark ist. Immerhin verharrt das Malz im Hintergrund und kommt im Abgang zum Zuge, hier ist es mit dem Getreide auf einer Note. Erfrischend und mild ist das Bier, allerdings sind das nicht unbedingt die richtigen Attribute für ein Dunkles. Zuletzt immerhin etwas kräftiger und deutlich herb. Malzig-bitterer Antrunk, etwas süß, süffig. Im Mittelteil vollmundiger, das Malz wird röstiger und kurzzeitig etwas wässrig. Die Bitterkeit ist hier verschwunden, stattdessen kommt im Abgang eine angnehme Hopfigkeit auf, die auf der selben Intensitätsstufe wie das Malz ist. Nett aber nicht sehr intensiv. Herb-süßer Antrunk, harmonisch, relativ mild. Etwas grasig, süßer werdend, die Herbe nimmt kaum zu, dafür macht sich im Hintergrund ein hopfige Ton bemerkbar. Das Bier wird weiter milder, im Abgang wird es dann doch noch etwas herber, macht aber einen harmlosen Eindruck, auch der stärker werdende Hopfenton kann daran nichts ändern.
