About
The first real Cretan beer was a result of Dr Bernd Brink, a German mathematician based in Scotland. He came to Crete and, as a German might, wanted to bring to the island above all a genuine German beer. So the Rethymnian Brewery was set up.

0,33 l swing top bottle purchased at Maravel Garden, Spili. BB 31.05.27. Murky amber in the glass, smallest short living head. Sweet fruity dextrose and malty aroma. Taste is malty, little bit fruity, pale choco and dextrose. Soft bitterness, nearly no carbonation. Wrong bottle?

0,33 l can from a Synka at Chania. 5% version. Clear mid golden in the glass, more than one finger white foamy head. Sweet floral and grainy aroma. Taste has also sweet cereales at the start, some floral elements. Increasing malt elements with some bitterness. Mid carbonated. Okay.

0,33 l swing bottle from a small supermarket in Chania. BB 31.01.27. Dark murky golden in the glass, small fast fading head. Caramel and some honey on the nose. Taste is malty, more honey than caramel in the second row. Increasing bitterness. Very low carbonated. Little bit rough.
