Keg at the brewpub, 18/07/15. Clear pale golden with a decent white cap. Nose is light vanilla, pale malt, bread dough, straw. Taste comprises pale malt, grassy, subtle lemon, bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent clean tasting pils.

Keg at the brewpub, 18/07/15. Murky golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is Banana custard, light spice, yeast esters, clove. Taste comprises banana bread, light spice, trace of orange, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent Hefe.

Keg at the brewpub, 18/07/15. Hazed golden blonde with a decent off white covering. Nose is pale malt, lemon rind, straw, bread, trace of orange. Taste comprises bread dough, light vanilla, caramel, pale malt, hint of citric jus. Medium bodied, fine to spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Decent clean drinking affair, good hot weather chug jus.

Keg at the brewpub, 18/07/15. Mahogany brown with a well appointed beige head that retains well, this bier is a looker ! Nose is caramel, light roast, raisens, dark fruits, light cocoa rub. Taste comprises toffee, light roasted malt notes, dates, toasted brown sugar, cocoa dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Top draw schwarz, great balance and drink ability, never to sweet and nor is it bland and boring like many of its stablemates.

Bottle, bought at the brewery. Looks good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Starts malty and dry, a bit woody, roasty notes, a bit smokey. Finish well balanced, modest fruity, still malty-roasty, not too dry. Nice!

Bottle, bought at the brewery. Looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass turbid, nice head. Starts mild, yeasty-fruity, banana notes, modest sweet. Finish well balanced, mild, a bit wheaty-yeasty. Okay.
