Dark nut brown clear amber with an off white head. Aroma of malts , roasted, & easy spices - taste the same - caramel. Soft and creamy mouthfeel. Medium to watery body. Pleasant, but very average!

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a beautiful, clear, dark and warm amber golden with a small, off-white head. Aroma of hops and burned caramel. Medium body with a fairly high caramel sweetness and then some good quality, floral aroma hops. A very nice and flawless Brown Ale. 181206

Beautiful amber color. Light malt and hop aroma. Medium structure, light malt taste, more caramel, strong bitterness. Not bad, but very simple.

Bottle, 5.5%. OK malty aroma, a little metallic. Clear brown colour, OK light brown head. The flavour is rather watery, and there is some malt bitterness which does not suit it. Good mouthfeel, but the flavour is too thin.

50cL bottle. Pours dark golden brown with light brown/orange and lasting head. Smells spicy. First taste is very complex. Clear caramel feel, tastes of malt, spice, yeast and alcohol. Clearly more complex than the two other beers (Pale Ale and Brown Ale) but not what I would expect from a Christmas ale - this could go for any season of the year.

50cL Bottle: Golden, off-white head. Hops all over in smell and taste. It may be perception - but it tastes (in addition to the hops) very clean and icy. Perfect beer for lunch.

(On tap) Slightly hazy orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Spicy, lightly sweet caramel aroma. Quite full-bodied, sweet with loads of malt and spices. A discreet hoppiness. 281006

I had this both unfiltered on tap and filtered on bottle. The color is in both cases deep red, but the draft version is hazy. It has a fluffy orangy head. The aroma is sweet with strong spicy notes that is combined with notes of fruit and yeast - among the spices I pick up all spice and cloves. The flavor is sweet and again very spicy - again lots of all spice, but also with notes of fruits and berries, and a bit of yeast. In the draft version, which is 1% ABV stronger than the bottle I find a light note of the alcohol, as well as a bit of metal. The end is dry and very spicy.
