Description
Old, fresh, and relentlessly dedicated to quality, our award winning brewery was established in 1996. Originally located in the nearby village of Gunness, brewing operations were moved to the Dog and Gun pub nine years later, the original 90 gallon brewing plant still used to this day. Our current maximum brew capacity is 270 gallons in a two week brewing cycle, with various beers and ales available at any one time. Born and forged from passion and creativity, we make beers and ales that we’re proud of.
Since embarking on our adventure, Dark Tribe Brewery has won many awards and accolades for our beers and ales. Many of these award certificates and plaques adorn the walls of the tap room in our pub. Our most prestigious achievments include being awarded the champion beer brewed in Lincolnshire (on three occasions) and having two beers reach the final six of the best beer of Britain competition. We brew nine regular beers (list below) and occasional special seasonal beers, augmenting our regular brews.

Cask at the St Albans Beer Festival 2013. Poured a cloudy golden colour with no head. Aroma was yeasty with some stewed apple and tart vinegar. Stale malt flavours with a sharp edge; rather off tasting. Palate was pretty watery with some grassy hops and a metallic hint.

6th August 2008. Dark brown beer. A light touch of roasted malt but no bitterness. Noticeable hops, the honey is well integrated and provides body as much as flavour. Feels bigger than it’s 3.6%
