Description
The Belle-Vue brewery is a story of more than 100 years of craftsmanship. Philémon Vanden Stock started as a so-called ''gueuze steker'' as early as 1913: he buys lambic from local brewers and uses it to create "Gueuze". In 1927 he took over the Belle-Vue café in Anderlecht, which was also the start of the Belle-Vue brand. When he took over the Vos Kina brewery in Molenbeek in 1943, he changed its name to the "Belle-Vue" brewery. He transforms from a gueuze steker into brewer. Under the leadership of son Constant Vanden Stock, the brewery grows strongly, partly through numerous acquisitions in the 50s, 60s and 70s. In 1975, the brewery moves into the old site of the Timmermans brewery in Zuun (Sint-Pieters-Leeuw). Belle-Vue has been part of AB InBev since 1981. Within AB InBev, the Belle-Vue brewery also functions as a pilot brewery and plays an important role in the Belgian network.

An amber beer with a fine beige head. The aroma is very powerful and totally dominated by raspberries - no sourness or other hints of the wildfermentation. The flavor is sweet and totally dominated by raspberries - again no hints of the wild fermentation. A boring framboise if You like the wild fermented beers - but if You like sodapops this will be a winner.

Reasonable dark amber beer with a very fuity strawberry aroma and a fizzy on the palate slightly bitter strawbery flavour. Overall a good lambic.

Pale amber/reddish beer with a light strawberry aroma. The flavour is mildly bitter strawberry. Overall a good fruit beer.

The aroma is sweet and powerful of cherries. The color is red and it has an OK but disappearing head. The flavor is sweet with notes of cherries, and a dry woody finish. It is way too sweet for me.

If it weren't for the pinkish head, I'd think this were a Abbey Dubbel because of the very deep brown colour. Ver sweet cherry aroma, it almost smells like some kind of food for cows (I once worked in a compagnie that makes such things - very sweet it is.) The flavour is like cherry juice wit water. One has to confess that this is an low-alocoholic beer, and that just doesn't work out.

Amber colour, white quite homogeneous head. A little bit of small bubbles in the body. Malt and hop aromas. Sweet, little bit fruity sour flavour (lambik-like) in the beginning, little bit bitter in the end. I like this beer.

Amber beer with a fruity aroma, not very sour. Fruity flavour that is not too strong and a herbal finish. A great Geuze, very pleasant and refreshing.

Deep red colour, pink rapidly-vanishing head. Sweet aroma, something like cherry-marmelade. As Joris also claims this is sweet and syropy. I can perceive some sour flavours, but I don't like this beer at all. I'm happy I bought only one bottle.

Pale amber colour (quite pale), white head. Little sour and sweet aroma, but not very intense. As the aroma is not overwelming, the flavour is neither so. It is sour-salt-sweet ... All these flavours are present but the flaour is quite flat.
