2 pints at Tadg’s. Grassy hops and bready malts in the nose. Cloudy golden color. Bit of sweet biscuit malt at the start, goes to a huge hop rush, grass, pepper, hay, and a huge long lasting bitterness. Crisp and effervescent. Clean lager finish. Excellent stuff.

Tap at Bungalow. Amber-orange color, clear, tall, fine head. Earthy, slightly resinous nose, some caramel and oranges. Nicely fruity, stone fruits and oranges, earthy, pepper flavor with a bit of caramel and bread. Solidly done old school PA. Nice fruity interest though not outstanding.

4.5% a very cloudy straw gold with a thin filmy white head. On tap at Tadg’s I like their new glasses better than their old tumbler type glasses. Wonderful juicy cascade grapefruit & pine hop bouquet. Smooth mouthfeel silky but the body is somewhat thin which is common with session IPAs. Nice clean bitter flavor, very green, pine and strangely almost a licorice or aniseed character to it. Quite nice.

On tap at Ibaraki Bakuon.an opaque honey gold with a white filmy head and a biscuit + tropical fruit aroma. The Bert’s medium body and smooth mouthfeel gives it a real satisfying goku goku quality. The taste is bitter pine, tropical fruits and chewy biscuit - delicious. I find it to be my kind of IPA - balanced fruitiness & bitterness rather than a hop bomb. Good stuff.

On tap at Ibaraki Bakuon. An opaque gold with a filmy head. A grapefruit and earthy pine bouquet wafts from the glass while the flavor is more of a simple piney bitterness with a slight grape fruity finish. This is some good shit.

5.5% on tap at Ibaraki Bakuon. A cloudy straw gold pourvwith minimal head and a zesty spicy citrus nose. The taste is a bit of cloves, some funk and decent saison esters that veer to the sweet side. Medium bodied with a thirst quenching mouthfeel. Quite a decent saison. Less metallic with more cloves and funk than the Spiral Belgian - more balanced. Good.
