Tap @ Beer Boy, Nakameguro. Hazy orange, white and quite thick haze there, some foam on the top, looking super creamy overall. Grassy hops in the nose, bubblegum and gummy bears also. Overripe mango. Tastes creamy, medium hop bitterness, feeling quite dank and a bit aggressive. Bubblegum also in the flavour, somewhat cloying sweetness that is not completely overdone by hops (which are a bit harsh but not balancing the sweetness somehow). Some biscuity malt and bitter linger in the finish. Good stuff, worth searching out.

medium golden amber color. The nose doesn’t jump out but it has this over ripe mango and durian thing going on that is unique. Quit a sweet maltiness to it as well. Wow. The over Ripe, or just rotting fruit, is really distinctive in the mouth. Excellent malt backbone, semi-sweet with this candied cherry/orange character. Wow. This is the Oni I love and respect

Tap @ Beer-Ma Kanda. Pours nice golden, clear, filled to the brink, so not much foam there. Nose has some citrus fruits, tropics and light grassy hop character. Tastes a bit acidic, pink grapefruit peel bitterness, some tannins and good grassy hops there as well. Well balanced and finishes bone dry, just some hop herbal thing going on. Does not feel like 8% beer at all, dangerous!

Tap @ Beer-Ma Kanda. Pours clear golden, glass is filled to the brink, so no foam there. Sweet fruits, tropics and gummy bears in the nose. Beautiful balance. Taste has also all these sweet fruity flavors coming out well, grassy bitterness lingering in the finish. Superbly balanced and drinks way too easy for 8% beer. Grassy hop linger in the finish. Probably one of the top Japanese IPA's for me.

Tap at Takumiya. Dry caramel malt nose, slightly buttery toffee, bit of pine, herbal hops. Crisp, dry, interesting. Very tasty.
