Tap at Komachi. Big, juicy nose, tropical fruit, a bit of booze burn, citrus, more lemon and grapefruit. Hazy golden orange with a low, fine head. Somewhat boozy, great hop flavor, citrus and tropical, crisp and well attenuated without the syrupy character I hate in so many big imperial ipas. Well done.

very hazy light golden color. Big citrus notes with orange gummy bears. Low medium bitterness interesting earthiness with tons of citrus and orange gummy bears. Fairly carbonated. Bone dry. More bitter than expected at the end. Good but not mind blowing. Wait, I came back to it after it warmed up. Wow. Super smooth. Carbonation is lower. Very juicy with lactose, now it’s super smooth. This went from 3.5 to 3.8. Great take on a Ne pale ale.

very dark brown color. Very interesting grape, roasted malt, slightly sweet, slight tart and fairly perfumy. Big roasted malt with good roasted malt, modest fruitiness and low medium bitterness. Medium carbonation. Very different and not at all an ipa. Very different but very enjoyable.

Tap at Komachi. Salmon or watermelon pink color with a low, fine head. Nose is berries, strawberry, raspberry, lemon, yogurt, cream. Nice lactic acid. Sweet and sour, vanilla stands out big in the aftertaste, nice strawberry, nicely tart. A bit too sweet for me, added lactose really is unnecessary, and the vanilla ruins it for me. Well done, though. I hope this milkshake craze ends soon so I can get a good fruit sour without lactose and vanilla.

super fresh citrusy with just a touch of rye. Tons of grapefruit and pine with nice rye in the background. Medium bitterness. Super quaffable with nice spicy rye finish. Excellent

330ml bottle, mail order from the brewery. Pours dark orange, cloudy, some white-beige foam on top. Nose is fruity and parfumy, yep, definitely DDH, perhaps even overdone a bit. Taste has good bitterness, lupulin dust tingle - maybe a bit too herbal and green bitterness there - but overall not bad. Fresh and satisfying.

330ml bottle, mail order from the brewery. Pours pink, hazy and pink with some lightly pink foam. Oh boy, here we go.. Nose is tart, light tartness, fruity and lacto. Not sweet, not bitter, not too acidic. Easygoing. Tastes actually quite balanced. Loads of lacto there - but strawberries are actually also there, mixed with sugar and milk. Memories from childhood surface, and I have a next sip. Light vanilla, light bitterness in the finish. Pretty good, nicely balanced and super easily drinkable. Much better than I thought at first.

330ml bottle, Thank you Taiga. Pours hazy yellow-orange, some white foam on top. Nose is fresh, citrusy and especially grapefruit zest is coming out strong. Insanely fresh, great citrus presence, covering malty body like a thick blanket. Taste brings out a lot of citrus, grapefruit peels and juice, pithy bitterness. Alcohol is nowhere to be felt, just feels superbly drinkable - although it actually packs respectable 8% abv. Dry and herbal overall, finish is also dry and bitter. Uchu Brewing has really gotten a lot better, excited about what they will brew next!

Pours nice yellow, hazy with just a bit of foam on top. Nose is soft, lots of fruity sweetness, overripe, like totally overripe. Some hop bitterness is hinted also. Taste has lots of fruits, ripe papaya, some mango and peach. Starts sweet but then the abundant hops find their way out and start burning your tongue. Really huge improvement for this brewery, this is something I like and would look out again.
