Pours nice yellow, hazy with just a bit of foam on top. Nose is soft, lots of fruity sweetness, overripe, like totally overripe. Some hop bitterness is hinted also. Taste has lots of fruits, ripe papaya, some mango and peach. Starts sweet but then the abundant hops find their way out and start burning your tongue. Really huge improvement for this brewery, this is something I like and would look out again.

Bottle. Pours dark orange, some foam also there but coming down quite quickly. Nose is a bit disturbing, lots of herbal bitterness, no fruits, just grass bitterness. Stuffy and taking vegetable direction, slight sour. Taste follows with lots of unbalanced bitterness, something is wrong with this beer, not sure if it got infected or they made some other mistakes - but it is already going sour (was released like 3 weeks ago..), it has lots of weird and wrong bitterness - and only if I try hard, I can feel that nice medium fruity IPA body that has been buried under this thick herbal-sour-bitter blanket. Perhaps Yasugatake hops are not that good for IPA's, maybe some other mess-up but this one is a fail. Sad, because I am cheering for this brewery.

1st batch (had it 2016.12.31): Pours bit hazy yellow. Aroma is herbal, bitter skunky hop. Not enough body to balance it. Taste is light. Hops are strong, so is it feels quite herbal and skunky. Drinks well but not sure if this hop is good for single hop IPA’s 2nd batch: Pours hazy amber, pretty plat and not much foam. Aroma herbal and a bit fruity. They were supposed to use also Mosaic in their second batch. Tastes herbal, somewhat smooth and silky. Sweetish balance, not very crisp but rather limp body. Drinkability good again but overall, these guys have a lot of room for development.
