Bottle at Kowloon Taproom. Black with a tan head. A lot of espresso in both the aroma and taste. Also some ash and dark chocolate. The finish was slightly sweet and quite bitter. A tasty one.

Bottle split at Travlr tasting @ Chriso, thanks to Gene, 30/09/15. Hazed chestnut brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is dark fruit shreds, light spice, malty, bitter fruit. Taste comprises toffee, light charr, biscuit, dark fruit rinds, peppery spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok for style although little depth ABV considered.

Bottle shared in London at chriso’s. Pours unclear amber-gold with a creamy tan head. The nose has old wood, damp toffee, grainy brown bread. Medium sweet flavor, some lightly tangy fruits, berries, more wood and earth, brown bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some toasty sugars, grainy bread, dried berries. Not bad.

Vielen Dank an Erzengel fürs Teilen! Das Bier hat eine milchig trübe dunkel orangebraune Farbe und wenig beigen Schaum. Der Geruch ist intensiv malzig, vergorene Früchte, holzig, Trauben. Der Geschmack ist alkoholisch, sehr malzig, Trauben, reifes Obst, leicht holzig, vollmundiges starkes Bier.

Vielen Dank an Erzengel fürs Teilen! Das Bier ist schwarz und hat eine sehr geringe braune Schaumkrone. Geruch intensiv röstmalzig, dunkle bittere Schokolade, Kaffee, holzig, reife dunkle Früchte, alkoholisch. Geschmack sehr schokoladig, Kaffee, reife Früchte, wenig Gewürze, Minze, alkoholisch, holzig, sehr lecker!

Black color with a really nice thick tan head. Good lacing. Coffee, chocolate and something that might be honey. Lovely thick body and a fine smooth carbonation. Mellow balanced sweetness. Coffee, chocolate, mild roasted and probably honey in the flavor. Really nice!

Bottle from the brewery. Dark in the glass, extreme intense and viscous in the nose. Burned sugar, herbs, hints of dried fruits. The beer starts fresh and deep. Extreme complex with burned sugar, dark dried plums, roasted nuts and lots of herbs. Great herbal body, that fits very well with the dark malty roasted and very viscous body. Dark and slightly sweetened medicine-syrup. Dry roasted chocolate bitter aftertaste. Absolutely great and complex. The herbal medicine-like aftertaste coincides very great with the dark roasted/burned and still fruity body. Fascinating!
