On tap at bocktown. A darker hazy beer like iced tea. Aroma is quite perfumy and sweet, smell yummy. Yas a beldgy with a little alky in thar. Not bad for the alky content, near 8%. Quite civilized for a hagh alky domestic wannah bee. Some beidgy yeasty spicy ness in the finish. Probably could pass as a trippel.

I was told it was the barrel aged but WTF? Can’t tell when the staff ain’t sure. Big & black with a choco moose head. Smells like any other good impy stout. Wew, first impressions is a big alky kick that laced my stout. A rototiller fer sure and it’s driven by nasty Nellie. A terribly on style beer wew. Provides a warming sensation all round, heheh. Long lasting impy stout impressions. I think I’m getting dizzy near the end of the session. Not impressed by the style but if you like this BS, better try it before its gone!

On the cold weather Pgh tour of winter 2015 spring at bocktown robinson. Nice and dark, looks like it may even have some purple in there. Smooth dark roasty aroma. Wew, taste has a little of this astringent thing happening. Almost a little difficult for my palate, but in a good way, ehheheh. Some co2. A feel of leather fer sure. Could be a a little better behaved overall for a brown beer. Finish is a little like dishwater.

On tap at the bocktown. Looks like a slightly cloudy iced tea. Smell is just clean fresh and beery, no sign of wheat aromas. Decent co2 in this one. Not as rude as most wheat ales I’ve done, yes pleasantly better than most. Could almost rise to a golden or not so good wit bier. Has a tad of beer bitterness on the finish.

Look, if you like IPA, you gotta taste this. It is terribly on IPA (not amber, heheh) style. On tap at the bocktown, nice place. Very hoppy aroma, as a matter of fact it has that contemporary ipa girlfriend BO about it. First taste is that of course, a big IPA kick in the head. Up your nose with a rubber hose, fer sure. Never could appreciate the IPA style. If you ask me, and you don’t have to, this is an IPA all the way, not a fricken amber ale as stated here. Theeeer, you have it, a terribly on style IPA but not a black IPA, just a darker amber IPA.

Sampled on draft at the Beerhive this beer poured a caramel-brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head that faded and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet, fruity, tropical and had an odd raw dough undertone. The flavor was tart, sweet, tangy, tropical , pine, grapefruit, pineapple and again the raw dough undertone. Long sweet and tangy tropical fruit finish. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.

Tap, smell is fresh fruity ipa. Clear yellow looking beer, typical yellow beer. Feel is flat. Mouth coating ipa fer sure. Not sure if it get to double but it ceratinly is a strong something. Bud ruining finish on this ine. Does not fade quiickly. Drink this one last, has a rude astringent finishthat lasts ferever. Yea, jsut as bad as any IPA or DIPA i’ve ever tasted. If you like this nasty style, go fer it.

Lots of punky spices fer shure. Looks like a darker hefe. Very little co2 on this one. Taste is rather pumpkin spices. Without much real pumpkin in there. A little bit on the old shoe in thar too. Leaves a slight bitter presentation on the finish. Not impressed.

Sampled on draft at Piper’s Pub this beer poured a brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized fluffy orange-tan head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was bitter, tart and tangy with lemon, strong grapefruit and tropical fruits. The flavor was tart and tangy with strong grapefruit, lemon, tropical fruit, caramel, crystal malt and a hint of tobacco. Very long finish. Medium body. Outstanding.
