Wasn’t expecting much but once I got a glass of this I was quite surprised. Pretty dark and a little roasty on the nose. Some coffee and some roasty wood on the tongue. Barely any co2. Comes across pretty good. Much better than expected. Yes, a friendly & easy to deal with brew. Could drink a few fo these. Fairly good slightly burned finish. Reminds me of old wet burned campfire wood. A little welcoming sweetness on the finish.

On tap at the brewery. A cloudy yellow color with a large white head. A light sweet nose, biscuit, hay, Pils malt. The flavor is more Pils malt, light citrus, some spicy German hops. Very clean and smooth. Good.

Awesome beer. Pours a mostly cloudy orange color with a medium white head. A big resinous candied tangerine nose. The flavor continues the sweeter side with resin, oranges, light bitterness. Lemon zest. Big. Flavorful. These guys are making good beer.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a pitch black color with a medium tan head. Huge sweet roasted malts and coffee nose. The flavor is sweet licorice, milky coffee, roast, lighter dark fruit. Very creamy. Bold. Damn good.

On tap at bocktown. A darker hazy beer like iced tea. Aroma is quite perfumy and sweet, smell yummy. Yas a beldgy with a little alky in thar. Not bad for the alky content, near 8%. Quite civilized for a hagh alky domestic wannah bee. Some beidgy yeasty spicy ness in the finish. Probably could pass as a trippel.

I was told it was the barrel aged but WTF? Can’t tell when the staff ain’t sure. Big & black with a choco moose head. Smells like any other good impy stout. Wew, first impressions is a big alky kick that laced my stout. A rototiller fer sure and it’s driven by nasty Nellie. A terribly on style beer wew. Provides a warming sensation all round, heheh. Long lasting impy stout impressions. I think I’m getting dizzy near the end of the session. Not impressed by the style but if you like this BS, better try it before its gone!

On the cold weather Pgh tour of winter 2015 spring at bocktown robinson. Nice and dark, looks like it may even have some purple in there. Smooth dark roasty aroma. Wew, taste has a little of this astringent thing happening. Almost a little difficult for my palate, but in a good way, ehheheh. Some co2. A feel of leather fer sure. Could be a a little better behaved overall for a brown beer. Finish is a little like dishwater.

On tap at the bocktown. Looks like a slightly cloudy iced tea. Smell is just clean fresh and beery, no sign of wheat aromas. Decent co2 in this one. Not as rude as most wheat ales I’ve done, yes pleasantly better than most. Could almost rise to a golden or not so good wit bier. Has a tad of beer bitterness on the finish.
