Description
From day one, the support of friends and family has been vital to the creation and success of Grist House. This is a place where drinking buddies become lifelong friends, and regulars become family. This brewery was built with the help and support of those around us, and every beer we brew is a thank you to everyone that made this possible, whether they were holding a hammer, or just holding a beer.

My 150th different Pennsylvania brewery. 16 ounce can from Tavour. Chestnut brown color. Large frothy tan head leaves spotty lacing. Sweet toasted malt aroma has tannic notes. Flavor has earthy, toasted malt notes. Mild cocoa and nuttiness in the middle. Some toffee as well. Medium bodied. Brief dry finish.

Aromas are a nice blend of resin, malt, citrus, onion. Flavors are similar to nose and a little on the bitter side with enough sweet and slightly soft carbonation to balance. Add in a touch of mineral. Pretty good beer.

Hazy yellow with a large fluffy white head that lingered and left great lacing. Yeasty and musty with faint coriander. Medium finish and body.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark, clear amber pour with a thick off-white foamy head that fades away. Aroma is malty, nutty, toasty. Taste is caramel, malty, smooth with a faint touch of dryness at the finish. Really, really smooth.

Aromas are resin, citrus, malt and green garden. Flavors are similar to nose with excellent balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Carbonation is ever so slightly soft. Finish flowers flavors. Very good drinking beer. Easily have another one. If I had another one.

Can from Tavour. Pours darkish amber with a huge foamy beige head that laced. Aroma of light toffee. Med body. Flavor of light toffee with floral hop. Slightly sweet, but the hop is almost enough to balance. It's a nice flavor, tho not strong.

Can pour at the DCBeer December 2025 share. Poured a very red color, mostly opaque. Very light pink, medium-sized head. Aroma was spot-on with strawberry jam, lots of strawberry juice - like the kind of frozen strawberry topping you can get at the store or on ice cream. Flavor was strawberry pie, with a creamy vanilla-cream flavor. Not a lot of crust. It's gimmicky, but I really thought they nailed the execution of this one perfectly.
