Sampled from the tap at the Indianapolis taproom. Pours a clear dark brown with a slight amber hue and light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has chocolate and light spices with a bit of sweet dark grains and candied sugars. Flavor has has a thin dark bread note with chocolate, light spice and vanilla underlying.

Pours a hazy pale gold. It smells of tart lime and grainy, bready malt. The flavor is lightly tart with lime and salt. It’s a little more watery than I’d like, but it’s fairly good.

Can from Tavour. Pours translucent amber with a slight beige head. Aroma of honey and mixed fruits. Med plus body. Flavor of honey, banana, malt like a mix of bready and toffee, spice, red berry. Very complex. Bourbon/oak is behind/in front of all that. Did I mention complex? Quite different, but I'm really liking it.

12oz can from Tavour. Cloudy amber, fizzy head, lively carbonation. Aroma is whiskey, malty, caramel. Taste has the bourbon barrel up front, honey, malty, mild yeasty notes. Not getting any vanilla, but the other flavors are top shelf.

Can from Tavour. Pours translucent dark gold with a large creamy white head. Aroma has kandi, lots of pale fruit and spice notes. Approaching full bodied. Flavor is yeast, pale fruit, something leatherish, and spice notes. There's kandi, but not enough to stop this from being pretty dry. Dry/sweet to coin a phrase? Moderately bitter. Decent.

On tap at GABF. Pours a hazy ruby with small white head. The aroma is strong raspberry, yeast, oak. Thin body, raspberry, cherry, wood, light acidity, very good.

12oz can from Tavour. Looks like the regular Exemption, light amber, thin head. Peach brandy prominent in the aroma, normal tripel notes lurk in the background. Taste also features the peach brandy, and it's quite a nice fit for the tripel style. Fruity flavors with light brandy accents. The tripel flavors seem to meld perfectly providing a great platform for the brandy barrel. 12oz can from Tavour. Amber pour, light cloudiness, thin, fine head. Aroma is light yeasty notes, grassy, caramel, cheese. Taste brings notes of butter, toasty malts and just a touch of the Belgian yeast. Smooth, almost sweet with a mild bitterness at the finish.

Def boozy, little astringent, almost 17abv barleywine levels of booze, some of the Belgian strong ale notes survive and estery deliciousness makes it out.
