Super hazy coppered and lightly bronze coloured body with a dense, very frothy five to six centimetre tall head that actually fades quite nicely. Aroma of grassy and very herbal notes up front with a large dose of hops, some light earth and quite a bit of tropical and citrusey fruit scents coming from the hops as well - complex and deep in terms of the hops. Medium-bodied; Assertive hop bites at first with a good deal of bitterness and a very smooth, floral and lightly herbal touch showing some subdued sweetness and nice balance with the malt coming through towards the end, but the hops dominate for sure. Aftertaste is deep with the herbal, dry and lightly grassy hop notes that end in pure fruit and almost a juicy-like flavour with a good balance throughout. Overall, a nicely balanced and well structured hop flavour with the fruit-based hops at first that end with a bit of the malt and some light sugars as well. Good to try and a nice, still complex APA with a fresh flavour of both malt and hops as well. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 09-March-2018 for US$1,89 sampled at home in Washington on 14-May-2018.

From a can, it does look like juice, with lots of pulp floating around. Smell is simply hop floral perfume. Big giant hop slap in the face with some orange juice hints as a follow up. Difficult bitter and strong, straight up IPA ass. At least it doesn't smell like BO. Those chunks in the brew just kind of hang there, never floating to the top nor bottom.

Pour is a black with a tan head that disappears quickly. Aroma is a little vanilla with some cacao nib sweetness. Flavor is a muddy sweet molasses with cacao and chocolate syrup. While this was a flavorful porter the vanilla was not there in the flavor and if it showed up a bit more it would send this over into the above average category.
