A small brewery in Cornelius, North Carolina that specializes in unique and bold flavors.
My name is Matt Glidden and I am the founder of Ass Clown Brewing. I grew up on a dairy farm in Addison, Vermont. That hard work ethic and my life experiences have led to the founding of Ass Clown Brewing.
We believe in making a product that is NOT based off of a profit model, but uses the best local organic ingredients (when available).
We also believe it is important to know what is in the beer you drink and that it is made in an environmentally responsible way. Ass Clown Brewing strives to be a "green" brewing company that uses alternative energy and finds alternative uses for brewing waste. For example, our warehouse will have recycled items, lights, furniture and equipment.
We also focus on using local ingredients. We grow our own hops. As we grow we will be looking for North Carolina hop growing farms, malting farms, and malting farms, spices and fruits.
On tap @ Ass Clown. Pours a murky dark orange appearance with a tan head. Smells like mom’s chow mein. Lot of spice and some ginger. Tangy, ginger, orange fruity flavor. Completely bizarre and not even closely reminiscent to an amber. Moran’s.
On tap @ Ass Clown. Pours a very hazy orange appearance with an off white head and nice lacing. Super heavy pineapple / grapefruit juice aroma to the point that it smells like they poured juice in it. Moderately sweet. Low to moderate bitterness. Juicy, heavy citrus. Ehhhh.
On tap @ Ass Clown. Pours a hazy dark orange appearance with an off white head. Lemon potpourri, air freshner, organic aroma. Twangy lemon pinesol flavor. Really heavy ginger. Light body. A bit tart. Gross.
Draft. Murky brown color. Subtle aroma of peanuts. Taste is like licking a spoonful of Nutella. You wouldn’t think that that works in a beer, but somehow it does. Try it!
Draft. Murky brown color, thin beige head, nice lacing. Aroma of caramel and summer fruit. Taste is balanced, decent fig flavors, not to sweet. Nice enough.
