Pint on tap at the brewery. Appearance is opaque black with no discernible sparkle, finger-width, foamy beige head with excellent retention and lacing. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt. Taste is as aroma with hint of chocolate. Palate is medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and dry, earthy bitterness to finish along with taste. Overall, the flavor is strong without being overwhelming. Nice.

Taster pour at the brewery. Appearance is cloudy, dark yellow with no discernible sparkle, finger-width foamy head with fair retention and nice lacing. Aroma is fruit, mild citrus and yeast. Taste is as aroma with grassy notes. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, not as juicy/fruity as I was expecting but quality crafted all around. Solid.

Sample at the source Hazy golden orange in color with a thin bubbly white head. Earthy lightly spicy with bits of honey bready maltiness to counter. Not horribly hoppy but pretty tasty just the same.

4 oz sample at the source. A near clear appearance!! Flavor of grapefruit zest with a nice tight carbonation and tingle over the palate. Nicely dry. The best I had on sample this trip. I am glad a new style is Emerging. Can we quit the stupid milkshake IPA’s yet?

4 oz sample at the source. Aroma and flavor is the same. Light toffee, European malt, very mild herbal hop toward the finish. Balanced well. Traditional example.
