tap at Trion tavern - Okay, the beer description for this entry says it is distinct from the Invasion ipa at Drake’s. The description for that beer says they are the same. I guess I’ll enter my rating here. No idea which description is correct... Pours amber-orange and has an aroma of caramel and citrus. The flavor features good bitterness balanced by caramel accented sweetness. It’s medium bodied and well done.

Tap. Pepper, bay leaf, and very light malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Slightly sweet lemon-orange, light horseblanket, pepper and bay leaf flavor. Spectacular blending. Really didn’t know what to expect from this one - bay leaves and pepper? Not only was I pleasantly surprised, but I really loved this beer. Superb.

Tap. Orange, banana, and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with small head. Sweet orange/banana, clove and light wheat malt flavor. Very nice - would have considered this near perfect if the malt was more forward.

Tap @ Beer Temple. Copper/amber color, cloudy. Not much head. Aroma’s: fruit, refreshing, peardrops, sweet fruit, some hoppy acidity. Flavor is rather sweet and rather bitter. Medium body. Finishes with lots of malt and finally lasting bitter.

(Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen, 6 July 2012) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with orange peel, citrus, apricots and tropical fruit. Malty, fruity taste with notes of grainy malt, blood oranges and dried apricots. Good citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. A bit different, but I kind of liked the fruity character in this one. Nice.

CP&K. Light haze on this amber beer. Tidy white head. Crisp minerally palate. A little raw pale malt, but not that much, turns creamy. Minerals. Mild marmalade, fairly watered down. Crisp finish. Not bad - fresh and crisp.
