Description
Against The Grain offers an eclectic line of canned and barrel-aged beers. We can be found in up to 43 states in the good o' USA, upwards of 25 countries around the world, and, of course, right here the home in Louisville, KY.
Against the Grain Portland is our production facility. We have a three vessel 30 barrel system alongside five 60 barrel fermenters and our canning line. We also barrel age all of our beer at this location. (only open for special events)

Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty smoky caramel aroma. Fruity malty smoky caramel flavor. Has a slightly roasted malty smoky caramel finish.

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits , citrusy hops, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, over ripe fruits, malt, and citusy hops, leading to a raw bitter finish.

From tap at Bishops Arms. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruity, citrusy and light peachy. Flavour is the same with a light soapy feel. Grapefruity, peachy and solid citrusy hoppy. Sweet impression. Light citrusy and crisp hoppy. Solid bitter finish.

Tap @ FairBar. Slight hazy amber with tiny off-white head. Aroma is malt, grainy, fruit and hops. Flavour is malt, fruit, little grainy, medium bitter, hops, little sweet and pine.

Tap @ C4 Pale Ale Festival, Odense. Pours clear golden with a small creamy white head. Grain, peach and grassy hops with a touch of butter beneath. Medium bodied.

Christian Firtal Pale Ale Festival 2012 - Day One. Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Faint malty aroma with herbal and citrus hops. Sweetish malty flavour with a touch of diacetyl, grassy malt and solid bitterness. Just a little too bitter for the weak body.

tap at mikkeller. Clear very dark brown, smooth beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, mild. Flavor is dark malts, lots and lots of bitter dark caramel,licorice, some sweet malts. quite foamy, end is bitter caramel, bitter and sweet malts.

Growler courtesy shrubber85. Coffee, chocolate, dark fruit, ash aroma. Black with a minimal head. Coffee malt, sweet chocolate, and light acidic flavor with a light bitter finish. Full smooth body. Extremely nice.
