Tall can from Brewcraft at home. Hazy opaque dull yellow pour with frothy white head. Aroma is bright pithy effervescent citrus and creamy peach. Taste has a consistent sharp pithy bitterness throughout, balanced by some juiciness - light stone fruit and bitter grapefruit. Palate has the effect of creaminess even though it’s not - in a good way. Fine carbonation and soft juiciness. Finish is quite bitter and again, pithy. Some alcohol warmth alongside the prickly finish. Very lemon/grapefruit heavy, not a juice bomb. Very good, especially for HK$40-something.

Poured from the tap @ hotel bar. Clear gold with small white head. Biscuit malt, mild pine hops, balanced, though not a ton of depth.

On tap at Culmination, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings vanilla and toasted nuts, with little depth beyond the adjuncts. Flavour is sweet and oily, with caramel and cocoa nibs — not getting the walnuts. There's not much depth here. Simple, with lots of sweetness and muddled artificial extracts. Not great.

On tap at Culmination, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out orange peel, molasses, and light almond extract. Flavour is a weird mix of adjuncts, with orange peel upfront, while the other elements aren't so obvious. There's some cocoa and maybe some vanilla and almond extract, but there's little complexity. Decent.

On tap at Culmination, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out rye whiskey barrels upfront, with soft nut extracts and a hint of vanilla. Flavour is soft, with lots of rye whiskey barrels, light vanilla and nut extracts. Nice barrel treatment here. Rye is usually harsh, but this works well. Good stuff.

On tap at Culmination, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out a nice mix of bourbon, cherry, almond extract and vanilla. Flavour is full of almond and cocoa upfront, followed by a touch of cherry and a hint of vanilla. The bourbon barrels are pretty subdued. Nice use of the almond especially. Very nice.

On tap at Culmination, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma is full of piney hops, some pine needles and light resins. Flavour is nicely hopped, with lots of piney hops, resins, and sweet biscuity malt. So much pine and light resins. Not as impeccable as Pliny, but it's very good.

On tap at Culmination, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank hops, light piney hop oils, and biscuity malt. Flavour is rather watery, with piney hops, some dankness, and biscuity malt. Not the most pronounced hop expression, but there's a reasonably dank character to it. Good stuff.
