500ml bottle picked up at the beer Junction Seattle. Pours out black topped with a small tan head. Nose is nice roast coffee plenty of chocolate malts and some vanilla. Taste is more of the heavy roast coffee sweet milk chocolate a nice end.

I bought the bottle bc it was decently priced. 500mL for $7.50, much less than what Urban Family has been Family recently. So, maybe this convinces them to being form the prove a bit. A very hazy pale gild colored beer. In usually stay away from hops and tartness, not my bag. But this was only lacto and I thought I’d give it a shot. Despite the cutra, I life the hop mix. And the lacto is very tart, drying, moderate acidity and sharp. The nose freaky is a fruit cocktail. The flavor is similar worth the added tartness and acidity. The downside its it comes of as a very tart radler without the sweetness. Which aint bad. I want a little more body ay the back end of this beer. This would make for a good brunch beer, a bit like a mimosa with the orange citric hops and lighter body. Not bad but not my thang.

Dark color, near black, with brownish head. Roasted malts aroma, coffee, sourish. Lean, dry, highly carbonated, roasty, chocolatey and sour.

Bottle - Dark roast coffee bean and vinous notes that don’t belong. Deep dark brown with a light brown head. Soured roasty malts with charred barrel notes and a dark coffee finish. This has too man disjointed flavours. Overcarbed doesn’t help.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish hue and a small tan head. Aroma brings out stale milk sugars, lots of some burnt rubber, and wood. Flavour is disturbed, with burnt rubber, some undesired sourness, and burnt coffee. Definitely something wrong occurred here. Burnt, rubbery and sour. A shame.

On tap at Urban Family, pours a cloudy peachy golden with almost no head. Aroma is huge on the stone fruits, with lots of tart apricots and plums, and some wild yeast. Flavour is massively showcasing the tart apricots and plums, with moderate wild yeast, and lacto. Nicely constructed, with a tart stone fruity finish. Not a huge amount of depth, but it works well.

500 ml bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, orange peel, apricot, pear, apple, peppercorn, coriander, clove, honey, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, honey, and bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, orange peel, apricot, pear, apple, peppercorn, coriander, clove, honey, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of herbal bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange peel, apricot, pear, apple, peppercorn, coriander, clove, honey, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness, complexity, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, honey, and bready malt flavor; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice saison! All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, spices, honey, and bready malt flavor; and very smooth and easy to drink. This was maltier than I expected, but still very balanced between the flavors. A very enjoyable offering.

Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lightly tart lemon, lime, apricot, orange, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, hay, straw, floral, honey, cracker, bread, light musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of yeast spiciness and light fruity/acidic tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, apricot, orange, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, hay, straw, honey, cracker, bread, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink for the ABV. Moderate dryness from acidity/spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately acidic, and lightly grainy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an insane dry hopped sour ale! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance fruity/funky/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink with the balanced acidity. A really amazing offering all around.

500mL capped bottle from Chuck’s CD. I don’t feel so bad paying $10 for this bottle when their recent release have been like $15 for 375mL. Fucking bastards make me think this price is a good deal. Anyway, cloudy pale beer. Its a bit too messy. Definitely a funky, lightly tart wheaty beer. But its a bit too thick, a bit too unruly and not clean enough. I can drink it again but I would prefer a more centered, even keeled beer that accentuates the farmhouse character and malts separately as opposed to one ball of stuff.
