A massive caramel bomb of an IPA, almost hilariously so, since the can announces the beer to be "aggressively hopped" and it comes off almost like a liquid Werthers. Hops are there, offering up mild orange marmalade notes, but this beer's essentially a one-note sweet strong ale, albeit a strangely drinkable one. Almost like a session Barleywine, I guess. Pours a lovely orange-gold with a brief white head and good lacing. Nose is toffee-caramel, nothing else. Texture's good if a bit strong, even for an 8.5% "IPA". Fuck it, I'll finish it.

Fairly middle-of-the-road, with a piney, grapefruit-tinged front followed up by a caramel malt backbone and an odd white bread yeastiness. Sufficiently bitter, but muddled, with a murky wet grain undertone and slight acidity. Creamy, thick feel is nice, but Munson’s call deserves a better beer.

On tap at Porter Pub, pours a hazy dark copper with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out resinous hops, sweet caramel malt and bready notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with cloyingly sweet caramel malts, some resins, and plenty of residual sweetness. Not balanced too well. Cloying and way too malty without sufficient hops. Lame.

Can 355ml (from Athens, no ABV, no BB)
Amber colour, good white head and lace. Dry mandarin and resin in the nose. Medium-bodied. Mandarin, tropical fruits, light resin in the flavour. Maltyness, a bit jammy, touch of alcohol. Drinkable.

Can 355ml (from Athens, GA, didn't notice BB)
Amber colour, medium-sized off-white head and some lace. Orange jam sweetie, tropical fruity aroma. Medium-bodied. Flavour has some strawberry jam, not so much pine and citrus as description claims. Sweetish IPA. Maybe past a bit its prime.
