Watermelon version, on tap at JL West Fargo. Server opined that watermelon is a constant ingredient of the Rebel Monk. Nice melon aroma. Taste is watermelon bubblegum. Interesting and unique.

Draft at JL West Fargo. Cloudy yellow color dense white head. Aroma of raw bread dough and light lemon. Taste has white pepper funk bitter finish.

Draft: Clear, light copper with a light beige head. Toffee, grain aroma. Caramel malt, a bit of leafy bitter in the taste.... Ok, but a bit dull....not very rich in body or flavour.

On tap at JL Beers. Pours black with a bubbly dark brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has dark grains with chocolate and a touch of earthy roast. Flavor has sweet dark grains and chocolate with a bit of roasted malts underlying.

Tap, JL Beers Bismarck. Beautiful appearance. Dark brown with a thick creamy brown head. Great retention and lacing. Roasty and citrus nose goes right onto a rich taste. Piney too. Sweet and toasty, citrus... spot on for my taste buds. Drinkable all day long. This was a big time score.
