Description
When Ray Steimel and David Hoy first met, they were both passionate home brewers obsessed with the brewing experience. After crossing paths at a soccer game, they began hosting brewing sessions where their friends, family, and neighbors would gather and hang out. That’s the concept that brought Primal Brewery to life in 2013, and the community has been having a good time with great beer and food ever since. With beer styles that appeal to both first-timers and craft aficionados, anyone can enjoy a sip and hang out inside or out in the beer garden. Their purpose is simple: Brew beer that you love to drink, in a place that you love to drink it, with the people you love to drink it with. Cheers!

On tap at the Bull City Ciderhouse in Cary. Slight haze on pale. Hardly any nose. Initially seems kinda light, like an APA. You'd never know it was over 7%! Quite light fer sher. I really don't care for IPA, but this is not really triggering my IPA hate senses. Even seems light for a session IPA. Some co2 in this. Not bad but keep in mind if it was really dead on IPA, I'd hate it.

Tap at Bull City Cider in Cary. Hazy pale. Mild grapefruit nose. Big and bitter on the uptake. Feels and tastes like fermenting green grapefruit rinds. Whew. Yes, terribly on style for an IPA. Virtually flat.

Draft at Mac’s Speed Shop. Hazy yellow color, thin white head. Aroma of floral citrus. Fortunately the taste is not all lemon, it’s a beer first with lemon in the background. Refreshing.
