Description
At Traveler Beer Company we expand what craft beers can be by adding new flavors and discovering old traditions. We discovered the shandy tradition in Europe and are thrilled to bring this unique style of beer home, to you. Shandys exemplify everything we look for in a craft beer—they are different from the mainstream, fun, inviting, and social, and thanks to the finest ingredients, shandys taste amazing.

Bottle at home forgot I grabbed this hopefully it’ll be last shandy I subject myself to for awhile. Odd clear copper orange beer. Nose is all spice and light pie. Tastes of traditional spicing nutmeg and allspice, some light pumpkin puree. Thin bodied. Not sweet and one of more drinkable shandies I’ve had. What this isn’t a shandy. Fuck a duck

Pour is a dark amber with a large tan head. Aroma is a very nice pumpkin pie spice. Lots of nutmeg. Flavor is a little watery and a bit soda like sweet and fizzy. The pumpkin spice is there but not in a big way. Smells great but the flavor is kinda weak. More like a pumpkin soda than a beer.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a murky tan-brown with a medium sized foamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was caramel, cinnamon sugar and nutmeg. The flavor was tart and spicy with cinnamon and nutmeg. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.

Sample at the Great Nebraska Beer Festival. Hazy orange amber color. Aroma of light spice. Taste has soft spice. Probably one of the best pumpkin shandys of the day for me.

Bottle. A- Pumpkin pie, spices. A- Brown color, hazy liquid, tan head. T- Pumpkin pie, spices, subtle lemon. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- I have been pretty unimpressed with the Traveler beers so far and I’d hoped I’d like them as I love a good shandy. After a lot of letdowns I still decided to go for this as it was the first pumpkin beer I saw for the fall...and all be damned. It’s not half bad. Looked like sewage water but it sure tasted alright! Like a nice slice of pumpkin pie and an unusual hint of lemon but not in a bad way. This is one pumpkin beer I could drink. Not too sweet, not artificial tasting, but just right. Well done.

Bottle. Nose is big pie spice, cinnamon, Sprite. Nice enough nose. Orange-brown, a bit hazy, lace, bubbly. Sweet shandy flavor, 7-Up, pumpkin pie, sweet and soda-like. Not terrible, but not a beer. No thanks.
