Keg at Draft Taproom. Hazy amber, large creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of resin, lemon, lime, pale malt. Taste is citrus, lemon, lemon meringue, tropical fruit, pale malt. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. 2700th Virginia rating!

Draft taproom. Pours black. Aroma is sweet vanilla and chocolate, not overly strong. Flavor is dark chocolate, sweet vanilla extract, caramel. Sweet but not cloying. Nice.

Keg at Draft Taproom. Dark brown, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of chocolate brownies, vanilla. Taste is vanilla extract, vanilla, cocoa. Thin Medium bodied. Nice.

Tallboy can from Beer Run. Black, large foamy brown head, good retention. Aroma of pine, resin, roast. The taste is roast, green and resiny hops. Really green and raw. Medium bodied, mild carbonation, moderate lingering bitterness.

$3.95 pint can from Wine Warehouse. Pours slightly hazy golden with a soft beige head. Aroma is citrus rind, mango, tropical fruit. Flavor is melon, orange and grapefruit peel, pine. Too much melon flavor for me to love this.

$3.85 (I think) can from Wine Warehouse. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is deep citrus, toasted barley, caramel, dark fruit, coffee, anise. Flavor is roasted malt, citrus including but not limited to orange, coffee, light chocolate, pine, sweet stone fruit, caramel. Bitter, dry. Flavorful and delightful.

16 oz. can. Pitch black liquid with thin tan head. Aroma is bold vanilla bean, mild roast, and chocolate. Flavor is mostly the same with a mild lingering vanilla bean, roast backbone is mild. Body is a bit "thin" for a imperial stout. Overall, not bad at all, can't really hang with the big boys but decent.

Tap outside at Commenwealth restaurant in Charlottesville. Rich golden colored. Light nose is grains and citrus. Tastes of soft citrus, pine, grain and mandarin oranges. Soft but pleasant palate. Easy drinking.

Tap at the brewery. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma is cat piss, orange, pine. Flavor is juicy citrus, floral hops. Clean, fresh, bight. Tasty.
